@usk15 those are some beauties. I have a Karas Kustoms fountain pen in green, but your Bolt looks like a better green. What are the two on the right?

Thank you!

They are Sheaffer No Nonsense vintage green marble, both with Prelude nibs: one medium, other broad italic cursive. Both arrived as RB/BP, and I have converted as they are now.

My recent venture 'into the green.' Finding myself awake at 3.30am I took to browsing Ebay, as you do, and was totally smitten by this Pineider. My research showed it had a magnetic cap - which some felt gave the nib a tendency to dry out; that the nib flexed beautifully; that the nib didn't flex at all; that the pen was supremely comfortable to hold; that it was too uncomfortable for extended writing pages; that the nib was made in house; that the nib was made by Bock; that the nib wrote beautifully; that the nib was prone to skipping etc etc.

So I bought it, unboxed, for less than half its original price and, in my opinion, it's simply glorious.

The magnetic cap is great, except when you forget its magnetic, try to unscrew it and remove the barrel.

The material is resin mixed with marble dust and called "Malachite Green" in the Pineider La Grande Belleza Gemstone series.

Handmade in Florence. Including the nib - or possibly not, I don't care.
Cartridge converter - which some despise but I'm fine with.

I find it never dries out because I use it all the  time.

It isn't at at all uncomfortable.  (I'm not usually a fan of metal sections but this one works for me.)

It skipped a bit when I used it to do the Sudoko in the Radio Times - but what fountain pen wouldn't? Never had a problem with proper paper.

And, finally, the nib:
A Pineider extra fine seems slightly broader than, say, a Pilot medium.

It's soft and springy.  But don't let the cut outs fool you - I don't think it should be described as a flex nib.  I can only induce very slight line variation (but, full disclosure, I'm not a flex kind of chap).

And that's it. I bloody love it!

Fine looking Pineider there!  I picked up the version last autumn at the pen show in Denver.  I also have not had issues with the nib drying out.  Also agree that "flex" is a bit generous of a term, more just quite soft, similar in a way to my Pilot Falcon in that regard.  The quill nib on mine is a FIRE HOSE--I need to get some dry ink and see if it tames it a bit, my F nib writes more like a very generous European M.

I’m using Edelstein Aquamarine at the moment. It seems to work nicely (but my nib is the EF of course).

I may have shown these tow before, but they are pretty enough to be seen again.

1948-52 Italian Columbus, one of my top 5 for pretty pens.

OJxNi6B.jpgl8bEROA.jpg

Geha 780 semi-flex M.5rhiDcF.jpg

1992-3? Pelikan Hunter Toledo, sterling silver overlay.DaYPoQV.jpg

That color, the other picture has wrong light so looks way too light. Not mine, in mine is a B. Still better than anything I end up with by my self.

One of these day's I've got to make a picture of my Pelikan Celebry and 381, slightly different marbled greens.m0kxKfR.jpg

Ransom Bucket cost me many of my pictures taken by a poor camera that was finally tossed. Luckily, the Chicken Scratch pictures also vanished.

I am missing picture of a Pelikan 151 ...120 color green body with gold piston ring, made in Italy. It like the other 150's is a light and handy medium-small pen.

'70's Wearever, with like  all the Wearevers I once had, in spite of how the nib looked...a nice springy regular flex nib (not as pretty as a 200/120's nib but as effective.  Green marbled Celebry&381, Pelikan 120. 100, with CN nib, 100n with superflex 5X (Easy Full Flex gold nib). Basic green striped 400nn..(have 2 green striped and some 3 or more normal green striped 400's.  One a nail's nail D nib.)3udfXVZ.jpg

The Uhu, above the Wearever FP/MP is green, not the gray that shows in the above picture, so is the lighter Pelikan 100.

AfZ17lM.jpg

Pelikan 915, Toledo sterling Silver Hunter 1994 LE 3,000 made. My first and only Toledo.

The Geha 780

If one looks there is enough green to get roped into a green pen definition. A Chinese, Golden Star Cloisonne....a word I'd never seen before. A pen Chinese collectors in China wish...............so glad to find that out....it was flea market bound until nice posters here opened up my eyes. Ignorance is not quite the bliss some say.

They are all so very beautiful, Bo Bo. The Uhu in particular is so eye catching, abd the Hunter Toledo a dream. One day I would love a 700 series one.

It along with a full tortoise '30's one and a green sea tortoise...are Grail pens....as soon as I hit on my 'speculative investment' that I play every week.

I had known because I still use the old fashioned Uhu glue, that they made ink, in I got given a bottle of Uhu ink......then that Uhu pen popped up. I did pay more than it was worth for a piston rebuild....but some day someone else will be happy.....and I will use it again.

Haven't tried the ink....yet.

It appears I am slowly sliding into blue hues.Emei2kJ.jpg
