Baoer 3035 with F nibs

Recommended Posts

Just got a set of Baoer 3035 - with F nib. I always liked the 3035 but hated its M nib. By accident, I saw that a seller on Aliexpress had new designs (gold trim) with F nibs.

They arrived today and I inked one of it. Actually, it writes nicely out of the box. Not so good photos, it is evening and the light is not natural.

Lots of micro-scratches on two of the nibs. With a jeweler's cloth, you can remove them a little bit - but only a little bit. Has anybody ever seen the second nib, the white pen has it, while the others have normal ones.

Could you tell us the name of the Aliexpress seller please.  I did a search using gold, then fine and had no luck.

Thanks.

Direct link to the pens.

I asked the seller about the nibs. They answered the nibs/pens are made by "Cross Hero" - whoever that is. 🤔

I have 2 of these nibs each, tested one each yet. The KD nib writes more M than F but still on the F side.

I find this pen too thin to use for long writing, and the medium nib it usually came with indeed is too fat and boring, but the pen is really solidly made. The cap closing is one of the best around. I never use it but it is dear to me for those reasons.

I ended up getting all four. Took 18 days to get to California.  Not bad.  All four of mine had Iridium Point written on the nib.  One of the four was a mess.  Tines far separated, scratchy cubed.  But after some time fixing it, it was okay.  Two of the four had the nib slip off center to the left and all four had varying degrees of scratches on the front, but none of that is a deal breaker for me.  I don't even mind the thin grip section.  One thing that is odd is the complete lack of labeling (except for Iridium Point on the nib).  That, in my experience, is unusual even for lower end Chinese pens.  Bottom line is that these write well, aren't a nail after some use, are a fine (versus medium) nib and I think they are attractive.  I also appreciate the heft.
