14/18K Gold Nib for TWSBI Diamond Mini

Greetings from Canada to all fountain pen-loving brothers and sisters!

I am looking for your advice on my quest for a 14K or 18K Gold nib that ideally comes rhodium/platinum plated with no branding and fits, and works in the TWSBI Diamond Mini without much tweaking. This may have been discussed before but I am afraid I failed to get clear guidance. Appreciate your time and help. Thank you and stay safe.

I second that, @austinwft. Pablo form FPnibs offers a great service (for tuning, regrinding, and retipping).

Another alternative is to get a vintage gold nib and have it rhodium plated. I am not a big fan of TWSBI, but I do like their Go models and hence I have modified a few of them. Hereby I enclose a photo of a Go with a Wahl nib and ebonite feed. I also played a bit with this pen by coating it with a melted celluloid (urushi style but less slippery).

Thank you! Much appreciated. Your work on the Go with the Wahl nib looks great! Congratulations.

My quest on this topic started with the intent to use a TWSBI Diamond Mini Classic which I bought about 7 years back but never even opened the box (not sure why)! FPnibs is great but the cost surely is a bit more than I had anticipated. So, I kept exploring alternatives and came to learn that Sailor and Pilot nibs may be an option. Meanwhile, I happened on an interesting hybrid pen which I bought and waiting for to arrive. It is a Sheaffer Pop with a Sailor 14K nib! So, now I have two follow up questions:

  1. Will a Sailor 14K nib, which may be from a PGS or 1911 regular, fit the TWSBI Diamond Mini, or extending the question, a TWSBI Vac Mini? [I am aware from my research that a 14K Sailor nib will fit well the TWSBI 580/Eco/Precison]
  2. If the answer to above is 'No', which other non-Sailor pens can accept a Sailor 14K nib?

I do not like the Sheaffer Pop and wish to put the Sailor nib into a more acceptable writing instrument, if it fits the TWSBI Mini / Vac Mini - good. But I'd be interested to know which other pens can take a Sailor nib. I am sorry if this is against the rules, or inadvertently creating confusion but I have opened another thread under "Of Nibs & Tines"  calling it "Sailor 14K Nib in Non Sailor Pen". Cheers! Mukherji.
