Osmia Supra 74 F Fountain Pen repair

Recommended Posts

A friend gave me a nice world war II production Osmia Supra 74F fountain pen to see if I could repair it for him.  The piston filler mechanism is not working and it needs a new nib. This repair is beyond my existing capabilities as I have no idea how to disassemble or where a replacement nib might be found. Can anyone direct me to someone who could repair this pen in the U.S. or provide directions for taking it apart and finding a new nib? Thank you for any info.

A little further down on the list of forums, there is a forum called Repair Q & A. You are more likely to find this kind of help over there.

I feel confident that there are a number of people who would be capable of repairing the piston.

Finding a replacement nib will depend on whether you want a good nib that fits (probably not too difficult) or you want a genuine correct Osmia nib (probably a fair amount more difficult).

Unfortunetly, I don't see a search button by topic and 9,550 posts is too many to go through...

Have you tried clicking on the ‘Search’ button and reading the options in the drop-down menu?

Edit to add:

If a search for your keywords in the ‘Topic titles only’ (or titles and bodies) of the threads in the ‘Repair Q&A’ forum doesn’t return anything useful, you could click on the three dots at the top-right of the OP, ‘Report’ the post to the Mods, select the option for ‘ask Mods to move own post’, and in the text field at the bottom ask them to move the thread in to the ‘Repair Q&A’ forum.

It may be more likely to attract the attention of FPN’s repair experts if it’s in put in to that forum.

Good luck 👍
