Private Reserve - 2 Minutes to Midnight Blue - Limited Edition

This is a limited edition ink and it comes in special bottles.

I had a chance to blind test this limited-edition ink on different fp site.
It's great fun and privilege to test inks in this fashion. It's you and the ink. No name, no preconceived idea smile.png

It’s a rich blue which is supposed to trigger deep thoughts for the fountain pen user, close to midnight. As I live in the city and rarely can observe the stars, and am never awake at midnight, I guess this ink is not for me. dirol.gif

Lets reach for the midnight skies with the chromacrazy_pilot.gif :)

For those who like well-behaved inks and don’t tolerate any form of rebellion, this ink is not one of the best. I even managed to create feathering on Tomoe River 68gr paper. Though the feed was suer primed and it never happened again. And it ghosted and bled through on Maruman paper.
Lets see some nice feathers:

and some sheen on the same Tomoe River 68gr paper:

and some bleeding ghosts on thin cheap paper ;)

Watertest under running water. When I tried to dry the paper with a paper towel it became this mess.

Comparison Mystery 49 is our ink:

I often do little sketches. This was done for the yearly inktober, the prompt was odd.
The face of this semi-feline is a wash done with this ink.
Obviously the paper wasn't ink friendly :)

:) Thanks, @yazeh!  When I first saw that sheen image, I thought it was Mystery Ink #50.  Then realized, no, that's just a boatload of sheen!

Meanwhile, wish me luck, I'm going out into the cold and storm to attempt to remove a portion of the snow from specific parts of the ground...  (We're in the middle of what looks to be 30-hours of non-stop snow.  I don't remember seeing snow this deep for years, and yesterday at 5pm there was almost no snow on the ground.  We've got around 3 feet, drifting higher.  Sorry, but we appear to have gotten your share too!)

Good luck with that. In some ways, I'm glad for all that snow. That means the lakes and rivers will be replenished and the damns full. We are getting your system or its sister, on Thursday. Last week, the weather was like late March. Weird!

Yes, I complain about the removal (which took me 3.5 hours!), but we'd be dead (or living elsewhere) without it.  I'm just grateful that the same [unmentionable being] who sent us the snow also sent us snow blowers, ski socks, mp3 players, and ibuprofen!

May your snow fall where it's needed and not on your sidewalks! :D

Even my little EF, on Tomoe River, is sheening like crazy!

Indeed.  3.5 hours wow! I wish they'll invent snow blowers or maybe something like Star Trek weather systems, like Raisa ;)

Funny how the same ink behaves so differently on the same paper with different pens :)
