Does anyone here own a Parker ‘IM’ in ‘Monochrome Blue’?

They are indeed very blue pens.

I've got one I received a few months ago, courtesy of the Amazon Vine programme.  To my eyes it looks more like a "blurple" than a true blue but I freely admit my eyesight's not the best!

Oh, that poor pen has seen better days! I think mine is heading for the same fate. The cap is shrinking around the area of the inner cap and you can see cracks developing. Well, we can enjoy these beautiful treasures while they last. Some celluloid pens last many years, while some deteriorate very early (like some of my Omas and Stipula pens!) but I guess none will last forever. It's good that we have the chance to appreciate and care for them for awhile.

A fine sentiment. These pens are around 80-90 years old, so that's not too bad a life span.

Is that a No. 35?

The last of my blue pens...I think.

I've really enjoyed hearding them all together, spending some time with them, and also enjoyed seeing other members blue pens. 💙

Thanks. My pen is a Duro No 26. The engraving is still visible on the barrel.

PenBBS 323s have been popping up a bunch in pen spaces and catching my eye lately. This grouping of pens is like a summer sky. The transparent blues with the gold furnishings are lovely, as are the stately looking Preras. I love the look of the Pilot Pocket ball pen, if there’s a fountain pen in that style, I need it!

So we had been talking about blue pens in the “What Pen Are You Using Today, in 2023” and there were lots of blue pen pictures posted. Here are mine. They run the gamut from hella cheap to expensive in the 1990s. The only one missing is my five below calligraphy pen.

Nice set of blues- I had trouble deciding between the two Al- stars you have and the ocean blue but ultimately got the ocean blue. The others will most likely end up with me eventually.

Both the Al Stars are SE pens. Petrol is a 2023 release and the Pacific around 2018 or 2019. I have a third Al Star that WAS the regular line when I bought it in 1998. It was made until 2013 I believe.  Raw aluminum finish.

My local still has the Pacific; I didn’t realize that it was a SE- I’m a recent Lamy convert who used to find them hideous until fairly recently- I’ll get one next time I go!

They might be few in number, but the aesthetics pack a punch!

Thank you for your kind words.

The Platinum (2nd from the right) even in real life is such a deep blue it's almost black at first look. It reminds me of being on / over of deep water on the ocean. The Kaigelu second in from the right is too flashy and classy all at the same time 🙂 There must be an air leak in the cap somewhere as it drys out way too quickly.  I first saw a picture of one on this website and had to have one. The seller did offer a refund but I couldn't find one anywhere so decided to keep it just because I love the colour of the brown running through the blue on the cap and couldn't see anything like it back then,  (10 years or so)

@GlenV that Vac is spectacular, and the ring tops! I could see wearing a lovely blue silk sautoir with those, or a jaunty vest pocket chain. Oh, that Eversharp with the stripes, and, and….
