I'll dig out some more of my blue pens in the next few days, but these were on my desk as I was playing with finial colours today

I'm not quite sure how I ended up with four the same colour, but I suspect it's down to different sellers changing the names and confusing me. I am easily confused.

That would be the Herringbone pattern. Also available in red and green as standard.

I think most vintage Conway Stewart marbles, hatches, and herringbones came in red, blue, and green versions as standard.

I’m going to keep an eye out for one of those. CS pens are so elegant.

Agreed. I have a reverse cracked ice where the cap has split (disintegrated) all the way round!  🙁

Fortunately, it's only some CS pens.  🙂

Poor pen, sometimes I think of inanimate objects as having souls (animated, I guess) and feel bad for your lil’ friend.

Oof, you’re braver than I-at least it’s pretty.

They’re so cute! Sailor is a whole world that I have only just started to dip my toe into, there’s so much variety! I love the third from left, but they are all pretty.

I got this pen today, and it belongs among blue friends. It’s the cerulean blue Eco.

I *think* they might be the Jinhao 82 with their ends swapped around. I zoomed in to the picture to took at the cap band. I don't have any yet, but I am getting very tempted. Sigh.

Will work for pens...

So we had been talking about blue pens in the “What Pen Are You Using Today, in 2023” and there were lots of blue pen pictures posted. Here are mine. They run the gamut from hella cheap to expensive in the 1990s. The only one missing is my five below calligraphy pen.

Do you mean the puffy one? It uses 3.4 mm bore cartridges or converters.  Penguin pen

I’m also tempted, especially since they are so interchangeable. I want a few blues to mix for sure.

More blue pens than I thought. A lot more. I guess the Petrol Al Star counts as blue. Seems to be more blue than green.

yes.  ah I see.  Just now thought the whole pen body, up to the giant penguin head, is actually a giant eyedropper ink reservoir..!

It is indeed a 1.1mm stub nib. It’s what I get when the option is there.

Nice set of blues- I had trouble deciding between the two Al- stars you have and the ocean blue but ultimately got the ocean blue. The others will most likely end up with me eventually.

I love the line a stub nib gives.

Yes, they are. I have an embarrassing number of these, mostly with their nibs swapped out for stubbed or bent, and they're such fun (as well as being ridiculously cheap!).

Does anyone here own a Parker ‘IM’ in ‘Monochrome Blue’?

They are indeed very blue pens.

Oh, that poor pen has seen better days! I think mine is heading for the same fate. The cap is shrinking around the area of the inner cap and you can see cracks developing. Well, we can enjoy these beautiful treasures while they last. Some celluloid pens last many years, while some deteriorate very early (like some of my Omas and Stipula pens!) but I guess none will last forever. It's good that we have the chance to appreciate and care for them for awhile.

I don’t own one yet,  but it’s got a x marked next to it in the Fahrney’s catalog.
