What ink will you put in yours?  I used Levenger Blue Bahama.

I don’t know yet. I’m going to wait a bit as I have a ton of pens inked with blue and turquoise right now. They should be empty soon. I do like that Blue Bahama ink, it’s going on my list.

I somehow ended up with a lot of pens with different blue inks, so I understand your situation @Penguincollector.

Some of it was deliberate, I wanted to see how close the PPS recipes are to the actual cartridge ink (there are definitely details and caveats that I don’t need to bring up here). This lead to 5-6 different pens with almost the same color. It’s a fun experiment, but I may have to make my next blue a shimmer or something very different. I am looking forward to inking it eventually though. It will be fun to count words written with it.

Danitrio 100 Poems by 100 Poets

More purple-ish but in the blue family methinks.   Bea-u-ti-ful work of Japanese craftsmanship.  I do so admire those artists!  I understand this one takes about a year to create.  The subject of the art is Ogura Hyakunin.

What is Ogura Hyakunin Isshu?

Ogura Hyakunin Isshu, also called Hyakunin Isshu, is an anthology of 100 poems by 100 different poets. The poems are all "waka" (now called "tanka"). Waka are five-line
poems of 31 syllables, arranged as 5, 7, 5, 7, 7. The waka represented in Hyakunin Isshu were court poetry, which almost exclusively used the waka format from the earliest
days of Japanese poetry until the seventeen-syllable haiku came into prominence in the seventeenth century.

Omas 360 Royal Blue Prototype

This is a prototype that incorporates an ink flow off/on valve by loosening the blind cap to start the ink flow and tightening it to shut it off.  Great feature.  And the blue is deep and rich.

In the western saga I am writing, your desk or a close cousin shows up in someone's office in my book.

In 1885 civilization arrived...the electric fan was invented along with the flyswatter.

Later it was discovered that pigeonhole desks stopped the flow of air through an office where everyone wore long johns even in the summer. ... Besides being a place to lose paper.

Many of the things I used in an office 20 and more years ago were invented inthe 1870-80's; as discovered later....like clipboards, one staple loaded and pounded at a time was improved on.

In reference to P. T. Barnum; to advise for free is foolish, ........busybodies are ill liked by both factions.

Ransom Bucket cost me many of my pictures taken by a poor camera that was finally tossed. Luckily, the Chicken Scratch pictures also vanished.

@Bisquitlips, thank you for sharing your beautiful pens on this thread and letting me know what your Balance is called.

@Bo Bo OlsonI like your no name flighter and its blue section. The section and nib reminds me of the later Geha cartridge school pens.

Lately I've had the sailor blues... in a good way!

The pen on the left started it off, a pen I bought to match one in tortoiseshell. This is a Sailor model called the Magellan, made for only a few years in the 90s, primarily for the US market. Noted nibmeister Mike Masuyama, working for Sailor at the time, named it. They patterned this after lapis celluloids in the 1920s, and this one has a Broad 14k nib. The pen on the right is similar but a more exclusive run, with modified material, a matching section, and a Zoom nib! I can't believe it, but this pen was a gift to me by a lovely pen collector.

The big boy in the middle is the Sailor "Luminous Shadow" King of Pen, in 'Storm Blue' and featuring black ion trim. The big 21k nib, a medium, is to die for. These pens definitely float my boat.

@JonSzanto Wow! Those blues go so well together! I love those Magellans, I’ve seen them pop up before , but never in that lapis, and the section in the same material looks amazing! Thanks for dropping such a pretty picture in the thread!

My newest blue pen is a lovely little Conklin Endura ring top with the sweetest stub nib. I love little pens and this is no exception. It has an engraved signature on it that is pretty but illegible to me.
