Nice!  I like 'school pens,' and that IM is pretty.

I thought of you when I opened it, it’s nib is really similar to the Berol Fontaine. It was super cheap on AliExpress, but it went up in price. It’s a Schneider BK406.

Well, it has a dark blue cap, so here it is. The description is in the writing.

Is the converter also blue, @Misfit? I love the cap color, and when breather holes are heart shaped. Cute pen!

@Penguincollector Yes it is.  I thought about getting red, and make it a red, white and blue pen. But clear isn’t white, so I figured matching the cap was the way to go.

  It really adds some panache.

I agree. A standard converter with black would have been a bit off with the cap. The pen feed is clear too, which is kind of fun.

Oooohhh!

Your photo of this IM is even prettier than the ones that Parker uses in their marketing.

I haven’t bought any brand-new Parkers since 2012 - but I may need to buy one of these! 🙂

I really like the blue Quink in the Dark Sapphire, Amanda. It’s a lovely pen- well they all are,but it caught my eye first, then the school pen. I haven’t gotten into Faber- Castell pens yet (this pen and Baka’s Op Art are giving me ideas) but I enjoy their inks.

The bifocals came to the rescue! 🤓  The GvFC gulf blue is beautiful, great shader.  @Misfit was kind enough to send me a sample of it and the Violet Blue last year. Both colors have a great range from pastel to vibrancy depending on the nib used, no outlines but very pretty.  MUJI paper is really nice, they have different price points, but they are all fp friendly as far as I have experienced them. The paper color is hard to tell at the store because it’s really dark in there. They do (or did, it’s been sold out for awhile) sell their own fp, with a EF German made nib. There’s blank, grid, lined, not sure about dotted, but it’s been awhile since I’ve been. Next time I go, I’ll grab a couple extra notebooks to send out to pen folks.

Those are great choices for EDC pens, lots of ink capacity and great colors!  I bet that sheen monster Dark Lilac looks great in your Eco-T. Your petrol(?) Safari is lovely. I love that color family.

Thanks! It’s a really nice pen. The blue nib is what made me take notice of it, but IRL the body color is breathtaking.  It writes really well and no drying out issues at all, which I guess has been an issue with other modern Parkers. I bought it on Amazon UK for $33 USD.

I love the Deep Water, it reminds me of breeze blocks. I’ve had a couple of blue Studios on my list for awhile, I really should just get one.  The Starwalker is a beautiful shade of blue, and a super interesting design, definitely spacey! I think you just changed my mind about that model, I didn’t really like it when I first saw it.

Thanks. You'll like the studio. They are some of my best writers. The blue Starwalker looks even better in the sunlight. It's really the only Starwalker I like.

n+1

Here's one blue pen, an Jinhao Dadao 9019, which is shortly going off into the world to live a life separate from mine. Shown with a cheap Chinese piston filler rollerball and two vials of ink.

The person I am pen-abling has nerve damage in his writing hand that prevents him being able to grasp a cheap ballpoint. He tried my EDC work pen (similar to the rollerball in my pic) and found it easy to grasp. The 9019 will be a surprise but he's expecting the RB tomorrow.

I was given a present out of the blue today and it is a blue fountain pen.

The other day I helped a neighbour couple with an irrelevant, insignificant favour and they gave me this today.

It was a double surprise because first, the favour was really insignificant, and second because as far as I was aware they didn't know I use fountain pens.

So it was a beautiful surprise, not deserved at all, but beautiful.

The pen itself is a Belius Soiree. Might be inexpensive but feels nice and comfortable in the hand and it has a surprisingly nice reverse writing.

Sorry for the bad quality pictures.
