That looks like a winner. A late generation model, beautiful, very nice and elegant color and design. You may need to give it a clean, but it should write like a dream. All my Noblesses (and Slimlines) have written smoothly and nicely (the EF ones with small line variation in normal writing, enough to give writing a nice character).

How does yours write? Have you tested it yet?

How close to blue is maroon? :P

I have a marbled maroon and silver plated Montblanc Noblesse 18k fine. The cap polished up just fine.

All are 18K.

I'd say maroon is closer to red than to blue

You are right...maroon is reddish.

I only have one Mont Blanc Noblesse and it is an 18k fine. That nib photo is so nice.

Love your Noblesse, @Runnin_Ute! I have been eyeing those for years. You have motivated me to look for one.

Actually, it is a "neutral" color: a color made of the three primaries (red, blue an yellow). Depending on the initial pigments, it may be composed of the three in equal parts: How to Make Brown from Primary Colors.

You get different shades of brown by changing the proportions.

Therefore, one might say it is closer to any, depending on the shade of brown one chooses :)

Disclaimer: I've never followed a precise recipe, I just (sort of intuitively*) mix colors until I get the shade I want.

* well, I do take color theory into account, but guess the proportions.

When you say neutral, I think of grey. Brown can be such a warm color

As I understand it - and as I see the pens - maroon is a reddish brown (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maroon) that's why I said it's more red and of course because there is a thread on red pens

Sigh cubed...but I'm not going to post it in the red pens...most will have read it anyway.

I saw it, and will acknowledge it’s beauty. I hadn’t seen a silver capped Noblesse before, just the ones where the cap matches the barrel.  It can live here.

My bad. Sorry, I slipped here and mistook the color names. That's common for me, I'm very bad at naming colors.

The Red Pen Club let me know it’s angry that someone does not want to post a photo there. It’s also jealous the Blue Pen Club is the most popular.

I'm getting a red pen, but it was only posted yesterday so it will be a couple of weeks. That might help the Red Pen Club, except I ordered a blue pen today... and will then do a little Blue catchup... so Red Club will be even more jealous.

Will work for pens...

I have a red pen arriving today. The other pens I ordered on AliExpress are not blue. One can join the demonstrator club. The other maybe silver and gold. I’ll have to see it first.

Well, no deliveries today. I missed one, and it requires a signature.  I’ll have to go pick it up at the Post Office tomorrow.

How do you measure popularity?

I could find all my other blue pens and post photos of them one by one. But I can first do so in the weekend, as light conditions are pretty bad during the evening right now

It was by number of posts. Perhaps a rather not a scientific way to measure. Plus the red pens were trying to be funny. Oh, I need to get a photo of my new red pen, and post it there.
