Sold for, not the buy now pricing.

€10,20,25, 35, 56.

Enough of them sold for €25-22 or 13 or so to be worth looking in German Ebay...do look in the auction section.

No one has to make a living there, like those who  make outrageous offers on Buy Now.

Yeah, only I just did a quick search on eBay.  And most of the ones listed are black, and most of the pens are in eastern Europe from vendors I know nothing about and/or don't have 100% positive ratings, and the shipping charges are pretty high....  And the ones that *aren't* black (there seem to be a few steel ones, but they're a lot pricier).

So maybe I'm gonna curb my enthusiasm....  Sigh.  But that blue one in this thread sure is pretty....

How much would a Silvexa cost?

They seem to range from $70-150, depending on the nib and trim level. Not bad, but I haven’t seen a blue one for sale yet.

It’s very dependent on who will ship to the US. I should check with Rolf.

Canadian Senior Duofold in Lapis, roughly before 1928. Am now looking for the correct cap to match the barrel

Yep, but he won't be the cheapest, in he has to make a living, but he is dependable.

I have many Pelikano and a couple of Silvexa pens in my collection and I am wondering if your pen is actually a Pelikano model 3 body with a Pelikan M20 Silvexa cap. The picture I attached shows both of those pens bottom (Silvexa) and middle (black Pelikano model 3). The top pen is a Pelikano model 4 for reference. They are all very similar and the caps are interchangeable.

By the way, there is a lot of information about these models on the website https://www.pelikan-collectibles.com

It may not be correct, but the color of the cap is really nice, and the cap itself rather unusual.

He was certainly not- almost $200 for a broad blue Silvexa! 😱

😱 is right!  That's getting into M200 price-tag range (and -- before some repairs on it -- more than I originally paid for my first bird, a 1990s era M400 Brown Tortoise, about a decade ago).  And I got my M405 Stresemann and M405 Blue Black from him (my two *most* expensive pens) -- both bought NEW and thought I did well because they were cheaper than the US distributor markup price and he didn't have to charge me VAT (and back then eBay didn't collect sales tax).

Maybe I'm gonna have to rethink this "I really want/need a Silveva!" thing, now.... :(

Do look in German ebay, Auction section. from €13-56.

Yes they have to be willing to ship to the states and take paypal, but it isn't a decade ago. It's worth the look.

Did he have an F? For less?

@penguincollector, I bought it at an estate sale. Have no idea what the story of the owner is. It looked fine by me. I have been told by somebody that the cap is blue-on-blue and doesn't match the barrel. It writes beautifully and the colour scheme is amazing and not too darkened. I like it.  If I can find a cap that matches the barrel I might swap/buy it. The pen can be dated to '28 because from this date onward Parker added 2 smaller rings on the cap. Were Canadian pens different? Who knows

@MarcoA63, I think finding a pre-1928 pen would also be cool, so you have both pieces completed. I wonder if a Canadian vintage pen seller or collector would have a better idea of what goes with each part.

@Bo Bo Olson, I saw only one blue Silvexa. The others were cheaper but black. I can’t remember if it was a 14k or steel. In any case, I think it can wait until just the right one comes along.

Just arrived. Dunhill Gemline Marble Blue, 1990s (I belive).

The cap band says "Germany" so I think Montblanc made it. A quality made slim pen with a smooth 14k M nib, I like it.

@Tashi_Tsering That's a beautiful pen!

I know almost nothing about Dunhill as a brand.  What sort of fill system does it have?

The first and only Dunhill pen I ever saw, was in a tailor park in1958 when I was ten. Some one had just payed off all his debts, and had a party where he waved around a Dunhill fountain pen, and a thousand dollar bill. I didn't get to hold either.

That was back before my first fountain pen was stolen.
