Blue Pen Club- Show Me Your Blue Pens!

Thank you...

I need some Herbin inks, and with over 100 inks, and going to live auctions for inkwells....

The first two I know I'm not going to get. If I get the first one, that will be my single buy at the auction. No swords, and other play toys.

With me vs the computer bidding wold....I lose.

In reference to P. T. Barnum; to advise for free is foolish, ........busybodies are ill liked by both factions.

Ransom Bucket cost me many of my pictures taken by a poor camera that was finally tossed. Luckily, the Chicken Scratch pictures also vanished.

Reviewing this thread, there are some amazing collections and gorgeous pens!

@mallymal1 how do you like your FPR?  I had to search what the abbreviation was (Fountain Pen Revolution for anyone else like me), and now that I’ve seen that site, my mouth may have started to water.

@MsRedpen how do you like your F-C Grip?  Would you trust a kid with it?  (It’s one of the pens I’m considering for a 9-year to try out FPs.)

@Penguincollector I love all of your thoughtful comments about everyone's pictures.  Your commentary really make this thread feel welcoming.

To provide my own bona fides for joining the blue pen club, here is my Pineider Avatar UR in Abalone Green.  Despite the name of this colorway, I think it's definitely more blue than green.

Thanks for sharing your lovely turquoise Pineider and your kind words, my objective is that everyone feels welcome to share their blue (or bluish) pens in this thread.  That is a wonderful color combo, what size nib does it have?

Thank you!  It writes really smoothly with every ink I've tried it with and I really enjoy it.

I dub thee the Expert of Experts, @ZeroDukE! I love the way that shade of blue coordinates with the trim.

The Silvexa is lovely, @ZeroDukE! This has been the type of pen that I have been buying lately, very understated and mid century style. I love the ink window in this one, and the striated silver cap.

I never chased the '66-82 Pelikan pens, in none could tell me if they were regular flex or nail.

I was then still too cheap for my own good, and spending €15-20 for a nib I might not like, was a waste of money back when I was in the Pen of the Week in the Mail Club or even in the Pen of the Month. I got some real nice pens for those prices, in semi-flex or regular flex.

My only Silvexa ...P18/P478 silver star...no gold nib of the P480, brushed steel is a semi-nail with a tad of spring. Only goes 2X when mashed. Looks to be an F...no makings. It was part of a live auction lot, so I never did go chasing them. It's inked.

There are ever so many Pelikan cartridge pens from that era....that I never looked at, because none had them, or could or would say what flex the nib had.

If semi-nail then I'm happy enough I never looked for them. It was enough problems getting my 35 other Pelikan's together and the 85 other brands, mostly with nibs I liked; regular flex or semi-flex.

In reference to P. T. Barnum; to advise for free is foolish, ........busybodies are ill liked by both factions.

Ransom Bucket cost me many of my pictures taken by a poor camera that was finally tossed. Luckily, the Chicken Scratch pictures also vanished.

Thank you.  Yes, it is an interesting fountain pen; it has that ink window but its a cartridge converter pen.  Clever idea.

That’s really cool- it doesn’t look like a c/c pen!
