Oh good for you @Penguincollector  it’s so satisfying finding lost (misplaced) items.

Oh no, this was not lost, I just bought it-was just sold out or overpriced everywhere.  I kept buying other Cross pens I liked before finding it for sale.

I only have one Cross a blue Townsend....it's up on my desk in it's box....to use....it keeps getting knocked down the use list.

It was on sale, and my wife has the BP locked up so she'd never take it to work....I got to give her a 3-4 pen case, so she can put her better BP's in it.

@ 1970/71 I was on my way to buy a thin, 'high status' $8.00 cross matt black and gold ball point. A thicker jotter cost $3.75.

I stood at the pen counter in the BX and The Air Force have a base exchange..BX, the Army has a PX, post exchange.

I dooled over :puddle: a black and gold snorkel, I'd promised my self years before before i got into HS...The Snorkel was the King of Pens, the P-51 the Prince.

Then the Cicelé P-75 brothers mugged me.....which goes to show you, never go out with money in one's pocket...I was a One Man, One Pen guy for 40 years...mostly unused...either were to valuable to take out of the hose. I almost lost the FP in collage so took it home for safety.

So much for the best plan of men and mice.

Inthe day of taking your dollar bill to any bank and getting a silver dollar....$22 for the FP. $18 for the BP, which had a MP cartridge in it.....and it was at least as thin as that Cross.

In reference to P. T. Barnum; to advise for free is foolish, ........busybodies are ill liked by both factions.

Ransom Bucket cost me many of my pictures taken by a poor camera that was finally tossed. Luckily, the Chicken Scratch pictures also vanished.

The cheapest lessons are from those who learned expensive lessons. Ignorance is best for learning expensive lessons.

My admission submission to the Blues Club.

This Omas 360 prototype has the experimental ink release activated by turning the fill Piston knob 1/4 turn.  Love it!    I truly miss Omas.

Oh that Omas is really a pleasure to behold, @Bisquitlips!  Such elegance and beauty with just the right amount of gold to accent the dark blue.

@zeroduke, I don’t know how I missed your Sauvage- so pretty and shiny!

@KBeezie Thank you for posting your blue pens! That OMAS is lovely, and that Lazulistic Wahl with the beautiful soldier clip is a treasure. I love flat tops/ derbies. The Parker vac is also a favorite. Blue with gold trim in particular is my favorite in pens.

A pen worthy of the sky god, @zeroduke! I’ve heard very good things about that Mythos line. I appreciate your wonderful photos and close ups of all the little details on this gorgeous pen.

I was given this Cross pen as a present. It sits inked continuously on my desktop at work, so I can have it always at hand. I bought a converter for it so I can fill from a bottle of Koh-I-Noor Document black or blue.

None of the pictures does justice to its true color.

Nice !!!  Yours  is in better shape than mine. Haha.  The hood contracted over the years and now form fits the nib plastic.
