I really want the Blue Hour or the Glacier Classique fp and a blue 3776. Your Kaweco is the first Sport I have seen that I actually like.  That’s a great blue!  The swirly pen looks like the ocean. Quality over quantity.

Well spotted! The inspiration for the Nui Nalu were the great waves around Hawai. Good size pen, jowo steel #6 nib tuned perfectly by Hugh from Kanilea. The only tiny issue is the thread of the cap…you have to turn it a gazillion times to uncap the pen.

Of course, nui nalu is a big wave- I totally missed the name on first read! It’s gorgeous. Is it possible to make it an eye dropper? I know some makers will add a few turns  when that’s a possibility.

You could have hours of fun trying to find an ink to match the blue of that Kaweco

Oh wow, what a beautiful pen! Do you put the (I’m guessing long int’l) cartridge in the housing then in the pen? I’ve never seen that before. I like the round section and faceted body combo.

Yes!  You are right.  One long international cartridge or two short ones.

Pictures better than words, so here it is one.

There is another fountain pen with a similar system,  the Montblanc 147 Traveller.  Probably the Pelikan Epoch too.

And now, the forgotten picture.  Both fountain pens with their caps on.

Since this is a blue pen thread, I’m going to go ahead and post a shot in the dark:

So the long story short is I’m looking for a pen to embody this color swatch: a dark glittery blue with a purple sheen. If anyone happens to have a pen with this color I would love to see pictures and a description of its make and model.

Since my pen collection is currently scattered around the house I will wait until tomorrow to send a picture of my own blue pens.

I recently bought this Monteverde Impressa and I think it’s pretty close. Speerbob has them with several nib choices for an excellent price:

Ooh thank you for the lead—out of curiosity, which nib did you get?

Song of the week: “Someday” (One Republic)

If your car has them, make sure to change your timing belts every 80-100,000 miles. (Or shorter if specified in the manual)

Just got the Kaweko Perkeo calligraphy set.  It's ... various shades of blue.

My latest ebook.   And not just for Halloween!

My other pen is a Montblanc.

I bought the Omniflex. I haven’t tried it yet, trying to run through a few inked ones first. I know @Misfitreally likes their 1.1 stub. (I was incorrect, she has a M nib on hers)

ETA: right person, wrong nib size

Woohoo! I love calligraphy sets. I’m trying to use the ones I have more in order to have a better excuse to get more.

I just loaded the 1.1 with… blue.  It's a hard starter, there are three nib sections, but only one body.  Nevertheless, with dippage, it appears to write well.

Two blue cartridges came with the set.  Or maybe three.  One of the sections had an empty cart in it.

I got my Impressa at Century Pens in Chicago, a store which has since closed. Mine is the gunmetal with red trim version that came with a M nib. It writes well. Maybe it can be in the Red Pen Club thread when it gets started.

Whoops, I corrected my post. I  can start red if you want.

Well, if we are swapping, it’s your turn. If you want me to start it, I will… just being lazy.
