Every computer screen displays differently, but that looks like a very close match for my Navy Pilot Decimo. Has the same metallic clear coat like effect. Check it out:

Thank you  as if I needed an excuse to buy a Pilot VP 😂. I have now added that to my list of pens to buy next. It’s third in line, behind the Pelikan M200 demonstrator, and the Platinum 3776 Star Wars edition.

Decimo, not VP -- the VP does not have this same color option. Just trying to be precise so you aren't led to the wrong pen color! LOL.

Top one is a LAMY Aion
Bottom one is the Aurora Optima “Mare”

The color of the Aion is so pretty, and the Mare really does look like it’s namesake. 😍

I thought I posted this but I don't see it....

It's been hard to find a proper ink for the Aion.  I have Ajisai in it now, and have tried Lake Placid Blue and Edelstein Sapphire.  Can't decide.

Have you looked at Diamine Cobalt Jazz? It’s really pretty, and my Lamy pens, even the EF nibs, have no issues with their shimmer.  If shimmer is not your thing, their Majestic Blue is lovely; Edelstein Sapphire is as well. Also Private Reserve Electric Supershow Blue. Can you tell it’s my favorite color‽

@The Elevator, can you describe the color that you are seeking? To me it looks like a metallic royal blue, not quite cobalt, but not dark like navy. I wanted to know how close that is to the actual shade of blue that you are looking for. What is the reference photo of?
