Submarine Fountain Pen Restart

A while back I purchased what I was told was a Platinum Submarine fountain pen. It didn't take me long to discover (upon receiving it) that it was A Submarine alright, but not a Platinum pen. It is in fact an Indian produced pen! It would not write no matter what I did to it in spite of it looking to be a high quality writing instrument. I decided to take it completely apart and try a good cleansing! After this it still wouldn't work, I would have to pull the nib, which I did, and back in the sonic cleaner it went.

The feed started oozing out a very black ink. The nib was also toast!

The only nib that I had on hand was a fpr stainless fine nib which slipped right in, no problems. I think that I heard my poor pen sigh with relief !!

After receiving a fill of Papier Plume Iron Lace ink, it took off! A dream to write with, nice Dove grey, and a wonderful nib. Pictures will follow, but right now I'm enjoying writing too much to take some pics.
