Extra Fine Nib Ink Review: Anderillium Motor City Peacock Blue

This is review #220 in my series. Here's the YouTube video:

Post-recording notes: This ink was gifted to me by a generous FPNer! :) Cleaning was quick and easy. The microscope smear was straight out of Boringville.

Please note that this is the first review to be processed on my new(ish) computer. While the software used is the same, the screen is different and so any color correction I do may be different.  Microscope image capture is still being done on the old computer while I (hopefully) work out an image resolution issue with tech support.

Zoomed in photo (Color is wrong, not turquoise enough.)

Absorbent Paper Close-up (top is puzzle paper like thick newsprint, bottom is old 20lb copy paper) (They're a bit neon. :))

Line width (One of the lines used for dry time. Magnification is 100x. The grid is 100x100µm. The scale is 330µm, with eleven divisions of 30µm each. The line width for this ink is roughly 330µm. With 220 inks measured, the average line width is 295µm.)

Thank you as always @LizEF for a review that I suspect is utterly irrelevant to me - I can neither get hold of this ink, nor do I think I'd bother to if I could! I'm not sure it even matches its name very well.

I have, at least, expanded my knowledge of Anderillium inks, though!

I'm so smitten with Essri...

Thank you @LizEFfor taking the effort for the review and, I guess, the even higher effort for fighting against a new computer! :)

While I love the drawings and inspiration motives at the Anderillium homepage, I'm not sure if I would need the ink as it looks too similar to the many other turquoise inks already out there.

And finally, I also like maps that don't show the real position of things and locations - it happens whenever I'm on the road using my navigation computer ... Every trip an adventure!

One life!

You're very welcome!    Yes.  But for the generous FPNer who sent it to me, I don't think I could have gotten any of this either.  Perhaps the Motor City has unique peacocks! ;)

Ditto!  This is my first ink from them, and given how well-behaved it is, I wouldn't hesitate to try more.

Yup.  Not much unique here, but as I mentioned to @mizgeorge, a good introduction to the brand in that it behaved very well.

My favorite part about review is the serial, the tail twitching and the excellent quote :)

:D Now if I could only figure out Quin's true name (as opposed to true places).  Then I could reveal the name of his staff... :D :P

@LizEF…My kind of color, bright, cheerful.  Crawling toward spring, I NEED this, lol.

Love the review, love the story.  This time, I love the ink!  Tail-wagging is also cool.

Thanks as always and good luck fixing the tech issues.

My latest ebook.   And not just for Halloween!

My other pen is a Montblanc.

:)  Yes!  Although, around here, I'll be glad for longer winter with more moisture and less lawn-mowing. :D

:D  Thank you!  (Though, it's more nervous twitching than wagging.)

Thanks for this review @LizEF.  Colour looks nice enough, but as you say … lots of other inks in this colour range. What I particularly like about this one is that it is of aan unobtanium ink. That’s what I appreciate about FPN - a huge archive of inky information, including ones that are impossible or very hard to get. Without this forum and its contributors, we wouldn’t have the chance to enjoy these treasures.

Amen to that!  The generosity of the community - sharing a limited edition ink, no less! - has always impressed me.

Thank you for the review. I have too many turquoise and similar colors, so I won’t be getting this one. Poor ink.  Still thoroughly enjoying the Quin and Makhabesh story. Maybe you should have a poll for Quin’s real name. Choose some yourself, then let us vote.

:D  Well, I'm not going to feel too sorry for it - it was available at the show and that appears to be it, so it's not like we're refusing to buy it...

:D  Thank you!  I suppose I could do that, but then, if I could come up with a few options, I could pick one, too.  I have, however, .... (deleted all that - you guys haven't caught up with me yet!!)  Not gonna work.  Sigh.  We'll have to wait until we get past a certain scene, then we can come back to this. :)
