Comparing the Leonardo's DNA and the new Delta's DV

I took some photos to compare Leonardo's DNA with the DV of the new Delta.
Both with black cap and grip, and bright orange marbled barrel.

The DNA is not as slim as I thought, by comparison, but not as orange either (the DV is a brighter orange).
As a band, I have to say I prefer the Delta. But the Leonardo is piston-filled, while the Delta is cartridge/converter-filled. The nibs look the same to me. :D

The prices instead are quite different: the Delta costs about 20% more (in the versions with steel nib).
In the version with gold nib, both with piston filling, the difference is even bigger, about 25%.

Hi Susanna,

Thank you for the helpful comparison of these two fun looking pens.

Both look very good, the Delta certainly looks like a substantial size pen. Reminiscent of the older Delta pens.

Best,

OH WOW thank you for the comparison.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

There is also a DV 2.0 model that is a piston filler. With a gold nib it's about 400% the price of the Leonardo Momento Magico DNA with a steel nib. Both the DV and the Leonardo use JoWo steel or 14Kt gold nibs.

IMO, they are both very attractive.
