My 65's have been fine with size 18 sacs, and not a great deal of trimming. They hold a fair bit of ink.  I would have no qualms about using a slightly smaller size - but I'm not that much of a purist about this.

I've read that the size 18 tends to get twisted when re-assembling the pen.

If the sac is well coated with french chalk this is unlikely to happen - though it's more of a risk if it's a screw in section rather than push fit.

I've heard two different sac sizes for repairing the Osmiroid 65: 16 and 18.  The 16 might be a safe bet; I've read that the size 18 tends to get twisted when re-assembling the pen.

You'll also need a small amount of pure talc (not baby or bath powder) to coat the outside of the sac before re-assembling the pen,  and a small amount of shellac for 'gluing' the sac on.

Hope this is the info you need!

Yes, thanks again for your kind help!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).
