Can anyone comment on how well the Nautilus pen seals? Especially any in a dry climate... do they dry out?

I live on new mexico and it is very dry. I've had no problem at all.

I guess I am the odd man out with respect to Narwhal nibs.
(Firstly I understand that they are supposedly made by Narwhal.)

I own three Nautilus and one Voyager models.  All are special or Limited editions, a Cults Pens Exclusive Voyager (red, white and blue swirled acrylic) with a Fine Steel nib, a Marianas Trench Nautilus with a Fine 14kt gold nib, an Enigma Stationary Brilliant Bunny (red with teal, blue, and purple sparkles) with a Medium 14kt gold nib, and a 365 Anniversary Plongeur titanium with a Medium Steel nib.
I really like the size, girth, and weight these pens for my medium/large hand size.  Uncapped and unposted they are a bit longer, but the same diameter and weight, as a Parker Duofold Centennial. About the same length as a Safari but much heavier.
my issues are with nib smoothness and consistency of the ink flow.  Only the Cult edition writes consistently well.  The other three exhibit dry flow on strokes up and or right-to-left.  The 365 is heading back for service it writes so poorly. Also, I would never call any of these nibs “smooth” as they all have a considerable amount of toothiness.
