Diamine ink sale

The online pen company, out of the UK, is having a sale.   Buy 2 Diamine ink bottles and get one free  (one  30ml cost $2.99, one 80ml cost around $7.5).

Shipping under $30 is $5.99.   Shipping over $30 is $3.60.   Normally, they ship quickly and I receive the packages within 3 weeks.

Thank you very much for this information.  I just went nuts on a bunch of 80 ml bottles, which even when I paid extra for tracking came out to $5.50 per bottle.  Really, an incredible price!

No problem.  I went nuts too!  I bought a lot of ink.

Obviously the key to maximizing this discount is to purchase in series of three (buy 2 get 1 free).  When my basket equalled 21 items, I checked out, not realizing that 1 item I added wasn't available, and my 21 was because they threw in a free ballpoint pen.  I immediately sent them a message, asking to add 1 more, free, bottle.  Next day I received a message that my order had already been fulfilled.  But, they gave me a credit for one bottle, which was really above and beyond.  The fact I can't count to 3 is not their fault.  My first order from this company, but so far certainly positive.

I  maximized...lol   in groups by price in 3 separate orders.  I have a lifetime supply of ink!  The company upgraded my orders to tracking and they came within 8 days from the order date.   My best guess, I have 2.5 liters of new ink.  😁

Wow!! That’s a lot of ink. Congratulations on a lifetime supply. What are the bets you will still buy more ink later? @james3paris

And lose extra money to buy ink or another pen?   🤣

My problem is that I paid for tracking and while it was shipped Dec 7, no shipping update since, and the seller has had no luck getting any info from the shipper.

Nope.  Seller is closed until the 28th but tracking still shows nothing since Dec 7.  Clearly lost.  Now I will see how they handle this.

Hello from the UK. If your parcel is coming via Royal Mail (I think at your end it would be USPS United States Postal Service) then please be aware that we have had serious postal strikes in the UK. They started in November and have been running all through December.

This has created something of a horrific backlog but things are getting through. One of the reasons you don't see tracking (if it is Royal Mail at this end) is that it can take time for them to log it and for it to show up on the Royal Mail systems.

I placed an order on December 7th from Cult Pens and received it on December 21st. That was with Royal Mail Tracked 48 which usually turns up within forty-eight hours. And that's for an order placed, shipped and received in the UK.

I think if you're patient your package may eventually turn up. I've purchased from the

https://www.theonlinepencompany.com/ in the past and have always found them very reliable.

Hope that helps a bit. Or at least provides some context.

Thanks, but this is being sent by Pilotfish & Fedex.  Not the postal service.  Pilotfish received it Dec 7 and there the story ends.

Very sorry to hear that. Hopefully it will turn up.

Pilotfish = Online Pen Company (same company, just different name for ebay).

I'm surprised at them using Fedex though - it's not a popular choice for shipping from the UK - too expensive and not very available. Is it definitely a fedex tracking number, or one which ends GB?

As @Chimera01 says above, all postal systems (including the couriers) have been very badly impacted by the Royal Mail industrial action, and in particular, most tracking systems are not working properly, so I wouldn't be too concerned at this stage. We also had a major weather incident the following week, which almost shut down many areas for almost a week.

I send a lot of small packages to the US, and have just been dealing with one that a customer was concerned had not arrived. It actually turned up just this morning, having been posted on 8th December. Under three working weeks at this time of year and given the circumstances was, IMO,  a pretty good result.

Either way, if it is missing, the seller will doubtless send a replacement. They're good people to deal with.

Thanks for the encouraging words, both of you.  In my experience non-us courier services hand off to either UPS or FedEx when the package comes through US customs.  Pilotfish hands off to FedEx, and in the same way you can use the tracking number from a foreign postal service on the USPS tracking site, I can look up the courier tracking number on either UPS or FedEx, whichever is the pairing service..

Fingers crossed it will get there. Please keep us posted and let us know how it works out!

Heard back form the Seller.  They were closed for several days because of the Holidays.  The shipper (Pilotfish) informed them that the package wa damaged and would be returned to the Seller.  Did I want a replacement or refund?  Replacement!  I don't think they have in stock many of the inks I ordered, so as an alternative I'm willing to have them reship the damaged box when it arrives back at their warehouse.  If the glass bottles had shattered I doubt they would be returning them to the Seller.  But while this is likely to take a...very...long...time, the  Seller is taking responsibility, which is all I can ask for.  I'll keep you posted.
