So, you're saying you aren't going to become Cruella de Ville any time soon? ;)

(It's not in the old Disney animated movie, but in the original book she went to school with Mrs. Darling, who said that Cruella was expelled for drinking ink....)

Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

I did wonder if someone would ask if I tasted the Diamine ink. I did not.
I was thinking about the looks of the colors, however I knew I left myself open to drinking ink posts. Congratulations on being first @inkstainedruth

I endeavour to be frank and truthful in what I write, show or otherwise present, when I relate my first-hand experiences that are not independently verifiable; and link to third-party content where I can, when I make a claim or refute a statement of fact in a thread. If there is something you can verify for yourself, I entreat you to do so, and judge for yourself what is right, correct, and valid. I may be wrong, and my position or say-so is no more authoritative and carries no more weight than anyone else's here.

The Esterbrook base is a Dip-less 444 base which holds ink.  The pen is supposed to fit in to reach the ink. The pen that came with mine has a lever, plus sac. It does not fit in the hole. I got it on Etsy. So now, I need a pen for the base. And likely a base for the pen. Plus the pen has its clear tip broken off.

Good poem! I'm fond of that ink, too.

Drats, I posted elsewhere about hurting myself while caregiving. It’s my back or right hip. I can only sit comfortably it a dining room chair with small pillows. That means I’m across the room from where I usually sit with pens and notebook nearby. So…

I miss my pens near

where I can reach them and write words

praising pens and inks.

I would have used the Faber-Castell Grip 2010 which I recently filled (a cartridge) with Iroshizuku Tsuki-yo.

Dare I be picky?

Five-eight-five pattern

of syllables in English

does not haiku make

@MisfitLast year I fell during my evening walk and split my knee open. Ended up in the emergency care at the hospital. No stitches, no fractures, but still, trauma and a bleeding wound. Slept on the sofa two nights, was forbidden to walk for about four weeks, after which I was allowed crutches. So about those four weeks, I had my journal and some pens around my daytime bed, and struggled to get some stuff on paper... So, I can dig where you're coming from.

Especially hard when you got there caring for a loved one. That's hard. I wish you much strength and love for yourself. And when you can exercise again, think about pilates. (don't ask how I know - that was longer ago).

Ouch, your injury sounds worse. I’m glad to have avoided the ER. Such a time eater, but necessary when you need it.

Thank you so much for your comments. You are so nice.

Um, exercise?  Not guilty of doing that. However, maybe I should look into things I can do at home, to make me stronger. I feel like I lose strength as the day wears on. I noticed it when I was pulling her back in the chair the last time of each day. I didn’t think I was getting her as far back.
