Please excuse me for contributing to thread drift. This side track should be it's own thread so someone can find it.

We don't worry about that here. If it gets out if hand ir violates forum guidelines the moderators will deal with it. The search function is excellent at finding the minor drifts that are in context and not worth a separate thread.

Will work for pens...

You should worry about it because we all know the search engine on this site sucks eggs. Three blind mice have a better chance of finding an answer than FPN's search engine.

When someone hijacks a thread on this site, pertinent information is lost except for those few adept at the arcane knowledge of computer searches beyond the ken of mere mortals.

When the interwebs were started with stone slabs and chisels, moderators would banish aggressors who couldn't stay on topic. Please excuse me, my dinosaur burger is burning.

The pen has arrived. Amazing piece of engineering. Small but BIG in every sense

Okay I love the design of that one. Can it be posted if it has the turning mechanism for the nib though?

I’m waiting on a bunch of pens in the mail, I’ve been on a spree lately:

- Montblanc Noblesse Oblige I got for a song, arriving today. No idea what the nib size so it will be a fun surprise to find out!

- 1950s Montblanc 256 in OB, expected Monday.
- Pelikan 400 tortoise with OBB flex nib, expected Monday.

- 1953 Montblanc 146 with OB flex nib, expected Monday.
- 1950s Montblanc 344 with F semi-flex nib, expected next week or first week of November.
- 1970s Montblanc 146 with F or possibly EF monotone 14c stamped nib expected next week or first week of November.

Aaaand I’m eyeing two Pelikan M250s right now that are sitting at low prices online. If the bids don’t go too high I’ll grab them. If the bids on them do go too high I’ll pass and will not look at eBay for the rest of the year.

I have one as well and it is a nice pen, but be careful when cleaning it. The parts inside that extend the nib are prone to rust. What I did was take an empty long international cartridge and cut off the end so I could use an bulb syringe to push water thought it with out exposing the rest of the pen to water.

@Merrick you can post it to make it a bit more comfortable when writing. Posting also helps in extracting/retracting the nib

@DriftenI was wondering how to flush the nib and came to your same conclusion. No soaking for this pen. Although just the nib can be soaked

I used rewards money to help pay for the Kaweco highlighter set with the yellow Ice Sport. I have the Ice Sport in green and red. Maybe with the yellow Ice Sport they will make a Christmas trio.

I also found the Midori MD Fountain Pen for at least half off. One review mentioned the section cracking, so I figured don’t pay full price just in case. I had planned to buy this pen at retail. But the store in question has gone down from 3 in stock to 1. Since I don’t know when in November I’ll travel there, well, seize the day, right?

I received the Majohn V60, Yellow. F nib. It is huge. 15 cm capped!!!!

The triangular shape is comfortable and sits perfectly between the fingers in this helping the writing.

Does it remind you of a more famous pen?

😁

O más que muchas otras 😉

(My apologies to everyone for posting in Spanish, especially because my only reason for doing it was so that I could upload what is a bad pun.)

I think that it is a very attractive, er, homage.

I have seen that the same beast can also be had in black, or red, or white as well as in yellow, and all with silver-coloured trim instead of gold-coloured, so one of those could well have ended-up living with me.

Its lack of an ink-window puts me off from buying one (I'm a fussy old curmudgeon).
Apart from that though, it appears (QC permitting) to otherwise be a very attractive pen

I, for one, would love to read your impressions of it once you have been using it for a while.

No, it reminds me of a banana.  I'm sorry, but its shape and colour really does instantly make me think of a banana.

It's alright, it isn't as though the pen's from QLD... ;)

Silly jokes aside, might you perhaps prefer it if it were in one of the other colour options?

Kilk Camera Laterna.  Shipping label has been created by Galen, but of course it might take a while to start movement.  I know that Galen staff will
be at the early November Tokyo and Istanbul pen shows.
