What pen(s) are you waiting for in the mail?

I’ve got a few on the way.  And then I think I’m finding a 12 step program for fountain pens.

Kaweco Sport AL Piston

Kaweco Steel Sport

TWSBI 580 ALR Sunset Yellow

And finally a Pelikan M1000 Renaissance Brown later this month.

Pilot e95s in black and gold with a medium nib should arrive tomorrow. Pretty excited. Need to pick out a first ink to try with it.

Not gonna lie... I'm tempted to make it my Baystate Blue pen 😆

Montegrappa Elmo 01 Black, with broad nib. I'm hoping it'll be an unobtrusive pen for everyday writing.

These pens better arrive soon, I've done more than enough shopping for this year . . .

Visconti Medici Briarwood (gold trim), and the black Aurora Internazionale might just both arrive tomorrow. I'm also waiting for a MZG 2.0 sand Mosaico (also with gold nib and trim), but it looks like the wait will be longer. But the real big diva has already kept me waiting over a month; it remains to be seen when Montblanc can get its supply chain act together for my Origin 149 (which I'm having ground finer).

I swore yesterday that I *would not* order the new blackberry Estie with the mini stub. And I didn't. Haven't. Won't.

Then up popped an deal on one of my "down market" bucket list pens - an M805 Streseman, fine nib, inked once with 34+ months of warranty remaining.

I saved quite a bit over retail on a slightly used Pelikan, while spending not much more than I would have on the Estie. Oops!

@SLinkster I hope you have better luck than I did trying to buy the M405 Stresemann. It was a similar situation, allegedly, on the Amazon warehouse website. When the box arrived, the pen inside was a different snap cap Pelikan, with the Stresemann tag under the clip.

Ugh that would be frustrating! You returned it, I hope? Sounds like somebody pulled a fast one and got themselves a nice pen.

I'm buying from a private seller, using PP GGS and a virtual credit card, so I'm double covered in the event of a problem. The seller is in New England, which means delivery on Saturday if nothing delays the trucks...

It’s kind of an “eclectic” list.  Yeah, I’ll go with that.  😁

Pilot 823 Clear M nib

Parker Sonnet Red Lacquer

Sailor King of Pens ST Profit

Speaking of knives, I have one of these on the way (currently in transit) from the UK.  It is a replica of a 14/15th Century eating knife.  Saw it, had to have it.  It will be used for meal preparation.

Yep!  I'm looking forward to its arrival and a chance to try it out on a roast.

My attempt to buy my grail pen, a Pelikan M800 Brown Tortoise 2013, fell through. It was an unpleasant enough experience that I think I'm taking that pen off my wish list. Instead, I ordered a Pelikan M805 Stresemann with an extra fine nib from Cult Pen's birthday sale. Less than half the price and none of stomach wrenching aggravation! Thank you Cult Pens.

You are correct. I think the person bought a Stresemann, and returned a cheaper Pelikan, getting the full amount back, thus a free Stresemann.

I did return it. The refund came in the form of an Amazon gift card in the full amount. So I have to spend that refund on amazon.

Waiting no longer.  The Snorkel I bought on the way out to B/W a few months ago, which had to go home with the repair person, then sent BACK because there were issues, arrived in the mail today.  But sadly I'm going to still have to wait to talk to him in person (which might not be for months) because there are apparently still some issues with the pen that he wants to show me (we have been messaging back and forth for the past several weeks, and had a long phone call on Wednesday).

Sigh.
