It was made Dec 1971. I was born Dec 1970.

I was born in 1965 and I've found myself looking for pens made in 1965.  Nothing fancy, just decent quality ones that I can use as an everyday pen.  At the same time I'm looking for a watch made in 1965, but the choice for me here is a bit easier, an Omega Seamaster.

@RedPie I’m missing the funny part.

I thought is was funny since everyone can put out the trash the night before... but may be not.

My Pelikan M200/M205 Demonstrator and M101N Special Edition buying spree is coming to an end. I’m now picking up the last few. My M101N Red Tortoiseshell with an IB nib should be here Tuesday. Just the Bright Red and the Gray-Blue to snag still. I’ve got a BB nib Neon Green M205 and ink set coming from Japan, which leaves only the anthracite and amethyst colors on my wish list. I’m collecting every color binde, rather than every model and trim. I don’t really have a planned use for near duplicates.

My Black Tortoise M605 is still waiting for modification at the nibsmith. Looking forward to that broad nib with a cursive italic grind.

i’ve really enjoyed all the bargain hunting, unboxing, inking, photographing, and using my new pens. However, I think I’ve reached the point of diminishing returns. I’m looking forward to really getting to know my increased collection. No real reason to get more for the foreseeable future.

I follow a guy on Ebay who sells lots of old Parkers (amongst other things).  He bundles four different pens together with bids starting at 99p.  After a few unsuccessful punts, I've bought the following for less than £40, including postage:

25

45

Super 17

Sonnet

I wanted the Super 17 and Sonnet, but they all looked ok in the photos.  I have some 45s already, and used a 25 when I was at school in the late 1970s.  i think it will be nice to get reaquainted.  Anyway, they are in the post.

Nothing fancy, just a triplet of Jinhao 9016 - one in each nib size. Looks to have all the good qualities of the 9019, just in a more manageable size.

I’m waiting on two. One is a Jinhao 999 dragon pen. The other is what I hope is a genuine TWSBI Eco in Cement Gray (both) bought on AliExpress

@Runnin_Ute very nice looking pen. Whoever drew the telescope (I think) is talented.

Will, the guy who owns Redeem Pens does the drawings. Does it on all the ones he posts on Instagram and his site.

Tracking shows it arriving Monday Jan 29.

I’m waiting on a Kaweco Sport Classic in red with a 1.1mm stub nib. I got it for the Chiefs going to the Super Bowl. It will join three other pens that were bought for that reason. The first was a Kaweco Ice Sport in red which represents a win. A Lamy Safari in red came next which represents a loss. Then the Conklin Duragraph Red Nights was last year’s pen which represents a win.

As similar as the Visconti and Pineider will look (even in color), I think I will enjoy having both pens designed by Del Veccio.

Sheaffer Pop "Star Wars" R2-D2 pen, plus a converter for it.  It had been an auction on eBay which ended but got resisted yesterday as a BiN.  Contacted the seller (Speerbob) to ask about converters last night (since I seemed to remember getting one from him for the BB-8 pen a while back, and he amended the listing price to include a $6 and PM'd me back to let me know, and I hit the "buy" button this morning.  ETA is the end of the week....

It will join "the Force" with the Yoda pen and the BB-8 pen.... :D

I'm glad you've got your rebel forces lined up. Vive la resistance! 👍

I'm waiting for a Pelikan M101N in Bright Red with an IB nib. It's been delayed for some reason. Let's hope USPS hasn't lost it. Hopefully, my brain will stop substituting "irritable bowel" for "Italic Broad" by then. Yikes!

I'm also waiting for a Pelikan M205 Duo Green highlighter with a matching bottle of ink. I just bought this for the terrible reason of completing the demonstrator set collection I have going. I rarely use the Duo Yellow Highlighter I already have,

I'm also still waiting for the Pelikan M605 in Black Tortoise with a custom broad italic nib from the Nibsmith. The initial estimate was 7-9 weeks. So, hopefully it will get shipped within the next couple of weeks. I already bought the matching ballpoint, so fingers crossed. This is the pen that kicked off my buying spree. It looks like it may also be the one to end it.

The Esterbrook Estie Raven sort-of-piston-filler that I paid for on October 12th, which I thought I had read was the first day of release and immediately sold out before I got there, is finally on its way. Only 3 and a half months later.

It puzzles me that no-one on this forum (except me, in a vain attempt to generate a conversation) seems to be talking about a pen model with a "new" filling system that sold out so fast. If it was that popular, who bought them all? If it was not that popular, did they just make a tiny number of pens, almost as prototypes to see if they would generate any interest? (Note that these are rhetorical questions, as I don't expect anyone reading this to know the answers. I am just putting my thoughts out there for my own entertainment.)

Sorry man, I'm only collecting Pelikan Special Editions at the moment.
