@mizgeorge I think it’s only a matter of time before I get one. I kind of want to get it from Vanness Pens because they sell the color match converters to the Kaweco inks.

Curses! I'd never seen those before! I don't have a lot of converters as I generally use piston fillers, but I do love things that match.

I looked, and the online pen company has them. Some are out of stock, but Ruby red is in stock. I looked for them at UK sites since I read you were there instead of your warmer location.

I won it in an auction.  The Seller swapped in an Edison 18K BB, and I feel very honored to be the owner of one of these pens.

Please post a photo when it arrives. There is a True Writer thread.

I should not have bought a third pen since Christmas, but a Monteverde Prima in red swirl was $29.90 with a 1.1mm stub nib. I thought a few years ago when I got the blue swirl for my brother, that the red swirl reminded me of candy canes. So, I had to buy it, right?

Yes, yes you did.

I'm trying to get over feeling guilty when I buy pens. (I was raised Catholic, so let's blame that.) It seems like a pretty harmless activity for as much pleasure as I, and I assume you, get out of it. Assuming you're not surrounded by towering stacks of pen boxes threatening to tip over and crush you as you wind your way thru pen hoarder territory, I think you're doing great.  👍

Thank you @DilettanteG though I do keep pen boxes so far, it’s under control. I had neglected to write down pens and the inks in them, and got caught up. I decided to have some relaxation after everything, and that was part of it.

If I don't fill out my ink sampler right after I ink up a pen, it might as well be filled with mystery juice. So, I get it.

I bought a landscape formatted Mnemosyne notebook, and started writing in it with newly inked pens. Though not all of them. Some I used in a CR Gibson notebook. But I couldn’t find one pen with orange ink listed anywhere. I looked here on FPN, and did find where I posted getting the pen, and the ink used. Hurray for that. Hopefully I’ll get back to listing them in the two notebooks. The Mnemosyne notebook has less than 10 pages left.

In the Clairefontaine notebook, I write the pen model and name and color, nib size and the ink color. In the Leuchtturm I do the same, then write the alphabet, numbers 0 through 9, some horizontal and vertical lines, then some loops.

I did like the freedom of the Mnemosyne notebook to write more with a pen if I wanted to. I wrote out a should I get the other Opus 88 Picnic pens. I did.

The GvFC Tamitio black edition has always been on my wishlist for a couple of years. Finally became a bit affordable due to a 25% discount that I discovered by chance. I'm awaiting delivery in a couple of days. I'm almost always disappointed with the final result when the wait is this long, 2 years of buildup in the mind is hard to beat, but once again I hope the pen does better than expected.

@Misfit Mnemosyne is an excellent name for a notebook! And I too, occasionally outsource my memory to FPN. The pictures are especially helpful.

I'm getting towards the end of my Pelikan M200 Demonstrator collecting. Picked up a M200 Demonstrator (clear) from eBay this morning. They've already shipped it. Just the M205 amethyst and the M200 anthracite to go. I don't think I've ever bought so many pens in such a short period of time before. Fifteen in maybe five weeks?

Oh, the clear Pelikan. I used to want one.

I’ve only collected all the current Pilot Prera pens. I really like their CM nibs. Plus that snap cap!

This is a UK manufactured pen called 'Churchill Bengal Tiger Kirinite'. The producer defines it is a flush fit model and completely hand turned, including the grip / nib section. It mounts a Bock #6 nib that can be ordered to user's specifications. Photo and description from seller's website.

There are so many pretty pens than say 5-6 years ago.
