How does the Soennecken ✍️ write?

Breathe. Take one step at a time. Don't sweat the small stuff. You're not getting older, you are only moving through time. Be calm and positive.

A set of Pilot Varsity's in various colors. Discovering that I sometimes just want that variety of color without commiting to loading new ink.

Yep. Hence why I have these in all the colors. I have a couple of Varsity pens that date back to the mid-90s that I keep refilling. One has started getting a bit too juicy so I will probably retire it after I write it out.

I am waiting for my ebonite pen from Stüdyo Ağaçkakan. Very excited. The photos look very promising

Well, as well as the Strata with the Omniflex nib, I also now have Yet Another™ Pelikan M200 Café Crème, B nib in the mail (hopefully I will NOT lose this one, like I did with the first two.... :wallbash:).

Now (as of this morning) have tracking #s for both pens, and am hoping to get them by the end of the week, before the holliday shipping rush.

Does that mean there are 2 M200's floating around in the postal system or some international courier system that are looking for homes? I'd gladly adopt one of them. 🙂

@Skydiver and @Baka1969 -- Sorry, no.  This is just the one Café Crème, replacing the two that got lost.  I'm hoping that the 3rd time's the charm, but I'm also thinking that this might be a pen that *never* leaves the house, since I have had such lousy luck with the first two.  (Won't be the first pen that gets that designation -- I've got a Morrison ringtop with a gold-filled filigree overlay that has a nasty habit of unscrewing itself from the cap while I've got it on the lanyard....)

The first one got lost (along with a couple of other pens and the case they were in) somewhere between Bowling Green, KY and Alabama state line a number of years ago.  The second one got lost somewhere at IIRC the Triangle Pen Show a few years later -- right after I'd managed to get a B nib unit for it (that pen I got used on eBay a couple of months after losing the first one, which had a IM nib on it when I got it that was a firehose even by Pelikan standards of wet (I now have that M nib on another M200 and it did pretty well with 4001 Brilliant Black).

What??? @inkstainedruth did order another Cafe Creme?  Well hurray!  It’s such a neat Pelikan. I hope this one is the one to stay with you happily for years and decades to come.

Yeah, it was a lot more expensive than the original price, but they're SUCH a pretty color....

I hadn't realized at first that the caps and piston knobs aren't always black (they're brown on the Café Crèmes).  But then looked more carefully at my first one, the 1990s era Brown Tortoise, and realized that the cap and piston knob on that one are also brown.

Had been perusing the pre-Black Friday e-ad that I got from Pen Boutique and was looking at their offerings, and DANG, they had one -- and I could get it with a B nib....  So that's now officially my Christmas present.  Of course now I have to get something REALLY special for the husband in return.  I think I'm going to see about getting him some T-shirts in a design he got a kick out of, but the original one got holes in it, and the place I bought it doesn't carry that design any more.  Found some places online but I'll have to figure out if they're good vendors or not.  Of course, there's another design that he also really liked.  Can't find it as the original artwork anywhere, but found some full-color renditions and trying to make up my mind about whether those are something he'd actually wear or not....

And of course have to see about ordering them when he's not around....  I may break down and ask him about the second design, and let the first design ones be a surprise....

Hi @inkstainedruth have you looked at zazzle online?  I have bought from them. I think they might let you use a design for products. They have T-shirts. But not 100% sure if it’s individuals or people wanting to sell their designs.

No, but thanks for the tip.  I'll give them a look.

The problem is that I don't want to take some someone else's design.  The one shirt I've seen for sale on a few sites; the other one I haven't been able to find as such -- I've seen a full color version of the same idea, but not sure he'd like it as well -- or wear it....

Is a pen I've grown to like, when originally it was not my cup of tea.

On my stumble across list.

A couple of accidental auction wins; I put in my max bids and forgot about them. Neither has shipped yet.

A group of three pens. One appears to be a Pelikan. One appears to be a Recife, one could be a Sheaffer•Sailor. This package is coming from Portugal and will hopefully arrive before Giftmas.

A Sheaffer set in a nice presentation case. Neither are pristine but appear to be well-cared for.

ETA: and an Estie with a manifold nib, in an effort to have options for signing pesky carbonless triplicate forms.

Thanks to @AmandaW I was looking for the Legami Astronaut pencil sharpener she let me know about. I found it also at Cult Pens. They are having their Black Friday sale, and Legami items are 20% off. I looked at other items, and found Cult Pens has a collaboration with Kaweco for a Christmas pen again. I didn’t know about last year’s transparent gold. I did order this year’s transparent silver with a 1.1mm stub nib. Kaweco items are 10% off. Rhodia was also 10% off. Hurray!

Preppys and Jinhao 993 Sharks are kind of like potato chips, for me. There's a demonstrator Shark I really want, but it has a fude nib and comes as part of a set of 12. I don't need a dozen fude nibs.

For me it’s the metal enameled school pens with the steel hooded financial nibs. They always come in sets and have really cute little characters on them. Sometimes there’s just one with the design I want mixed with a slew of other stuff.
