What pen(s) are you waiting for in the mail?

@puffy_popcorn I bought a Chartres blue used with a B nib. The seller writes the Inkophile blog, and we chat on Flickr.  The B nib is very nice. I hope you enjoy yours for a long time.

Not a whole pen, but a solution to a problem with one of my latest impulse pens, a Platinum international cartridge adapter. I also bought a black Lamy z50 Broad nib for shimmer ink appreciation, mostly to justify the shipping on the adapter, which was five times the cost of the (cheap) item.

Top 5 of 20 currently inked pens:

MontBlanc 144 IB, Herbin Orange Indien/ Wearingeul Frost

Sailor x Daimaru Central Rockhopper Penguin PGS mini, Sailor Wonder Blue

Parker 88 Place Vendôme IB, Diamine Golden Sands

Salz Peter Pan 18k gold filled filligree fine flex, Waterman Serenity Blue

Yiren Giraffe IEF, Pilot Yama-Guri/sky blue holographic mica

always looking for penguin fountain pens and stationery

@Penguincollector I hope your purchases help with the problem.

I got it in my mind I needed to order another bottle of De Atramentis Sherlock Holmes ink. I decided to get a clear Kaweco Perkeo, a black clip for it, plus a converter from the color series. What I didn’t notice was somehow there were two Kaweco Perkeo pens in my order. Noticed that after I placed it. So, I wrote an email to Vanness asking if they would replace the Perkeo with three of the Kaweco nostalgic clips in silver, gold and black which equals the price of the Perkeo. Now I must wait for a reply on Monday.

Me too! I'm waiting for a Chartres SF. I suspect it might come with an ink sample gratis :)

Good luck! My 3776 Chartres Blue SF arrived brand new from Japan sealed in the box, but sans converter. It only had a cartridge of blue ink. I was assuming that a converter would come along with it like in the US.

Huh. My 3776 from Japan via Amazon.co.jp came with two cartridges and a converter. Two Sailor pens came only with cartridges, which was annoying.

They did!  I’m very happy.  Good thing I ordered on a Saturday night/Sunday very early.

Yup. I also ordered mine via Amazon co.jp. Another reviewer said hers arrived with one ink and one converter (albeit her pen started leaking very shortly thereafter). I need to get in touch with vendor, Amazon Japan, to see what the deal is.

Update: I could only use the bot, and it said that I have to return the entire pen. *Sigh* I'm keeping what I got and just getting a converter separately.

Inkophile's writing samples are beautiful. Your pen must be great!

Bought today for 10% off at a department store that is closing down. I'll go down in the last week of the month to see what is left and hopes of the 50%.

Lamy special edition studio aquamarine....and converter...

My wife liked the color a fountain pen she'll never use, so I let my wife have her way.image.thumb.jpeg.1ed433d9c615da72f85382b05eac6375.jpeg

And Lamy Crystal Agate a grey and Topaz a brown inks.

A Lamy 755 nib like that was on the Imporium I tested a couple of times....to fit my Lamy Studio LE Aquamarine just bought.

Instead of €125 in a shop, for €80 on amazon, as recommended by one of our fine posters. In B.

Oddly the the M was €40 more than B, F and EF.

I’m waiting on an Aurora Optima Sun Moon Lake and the wait is painful! It’ll be my first Aurora (actually my first Italian pen).

An old Mabie Todd Swan Leverless, bought at auction, not expensive.  It will be interesting to see if the filling mechanism works.

Please let us know when you get it. I tend to avoid lever fillers unless I get them from here www.vintagefountainpens.co.uk then at least I know they are working and have been serviced

A Kaweco Sport in Fox Orange, with a fine nib. Needed something slightly classier than a Shark to go with that awesome KwZ "Missourah Crawdad" orange ink 🦊

Next month at a company breakfast, someone I once worked with will show up with a Parker Thuya set for me.........but if one turns one's back on Ebay for over half a decade, such buys slide by.

I had a Parker Vac, 27=second quarter 1937 blue dot. standard/slender.

Canadian factory BB nib, I just it got back from repair...new sack. Never used in the sac was old and dead...of course..

The old rubber sacs before supersaturated inks were good for @30-40 years only. J64jBm4.jpg

don't have a full picture77uh3a5.jpg

Inked it with Lamy Crystal Agate to see if a BB nib would make it less dry....of the four papers I tested, only on the best, Mondi 100g color copy, was it not as dry as normal...still dry but livable.
