Sailor Fountain Pen Shikiori 5th Anniversary Minori Fountain Pen MF LTD with BOX

I thought I would start a new thread to show the Sailor 1911s Shikiori 5th anniversary fountain pen set - Minori (limited edition) that I just ordered through Ebay from Japan.  The pen is beautiful, with the two-toned body and the gold flecked transparent cap, topped with a 14kt gold medium fine nib.  The set comes with a converter and a small bottle of ink that changes color to represent (like the pen) the maturation of a grain of rice.  I love rice and symbolism and after spending the last few months debating what size and color Sailor pen to add to my collection, this one fit the bill.  It is scheduled to be at my doorstep in a couple of weeks!

Breathe. Take one step at a time. Don't sweat the small stuff. You're not getting older, you are only moving through time. Be calm and positive.

Parker 61 Flighter.  Seller didn't know if it was working, and it's missing the arrow on the hood; and I may have to have a little nib work done on it.  But the price was good, and it's a capillary fill one (and I know how to flush those out).

Should get it by the weekend. :)

Makes up for the  Vector "Tas" pen that I got outbid on a few days ago.  I was curious to see how high the other bidder was willing to go and my husband said "What happens if you DON'T get outbid?  And my answer? "Then I've seriously overpaid for a Parker Vector...."  But for not that much more I ended up getting the 61 Flighter -- go figure....

I was waiting for a 1935 De La Rue that arrived today.

It's a very nice pen to write with.  It is slightly shorter and thinner than a CS Series 58.

I'm a very happy camper.

Yet another translucent brown vacuum-filler Wing Sung 699 (my first one has suffered enough of my experiments, and I wanted one to keep as-is), and a Jinhao X159 as a cheap way to find out if I'd be happy with the size and feel of a Montblanc 149.

A vintage Aurora 888 that I could not resist because of the low price from an Italian seller on ebay.  Waiting to see if it will be glorious or just wishful thinking.

Well the original ETA for the 61 Flighter was for Saturday; then, when I got the tracking information, the USPS pushed that up to Friday.  But after it reached the IL distribution center a couple of days ago, the next update I got was yesterday evening, saying that it had reached the Pittsburgh network distribution center.  Then saw this morning it was out for delivery.  Sadly, I didn't get the package in time for me to do an "unboxing" at tonight's Steel City Nibs meeting.  But the package was in my mailbox when I got home.

Missing the arrow (which I knew) and it may need some nib work (don't suppose they normally came with Waverly nibs -- but haven't had a chance to compare it to the nibs on my other 61s).  Tomorrow I'll start the flushing process -- and will see how long I can write with this one before the ink gets too diluted to be legible on the page....

I ordered two pens from the same Chinese eBay seller on the first of this month.

One of them, a Jinhao x159, should arrive next Monday.

The other, a Wing Sung 3013, doesn't seem to have left its country of origin.

Such are the vagaries of the cheap pen life.

A Lamy 2000 in Macrolon with a Fine nib. I have one in SS with a BB nib I had ground to Cursive Italic. I love the nib but not the feel of the SS barrel. When the new L2K arrives, I'll do a nib swap.

Also, a Leonardo Momento Zero Grande 2.0 in "Angel Skin" with a 14Kt stub nib - my first pen with the nibs Leonardo is making in-house. I'm hoping it writes at least as well as the gold JoWo stubs. I'm also hoping the Angel Skin Leonardo uses was acquired without harming any angels. Do they molt, or what?

I’m waiting for a Pilot Custom 74 with B nib in translucent orange.

Exciting! I just received my new used Custom 74 in black, with B nib. It's inked with Pilot Blue, and am happy to report that this excellent pen has fully backed up Pilot's reputation for me since I bought my Kakuno.

Heh, I took the plunge in December and bought SchonDSGN's new Monoc Titanium nib, and opted to select a different pen (from the default) so chose the Pocket Ultem in natural. I can hardly contain myself:)

Just arrived this morning by DHL Express from Amazon Japan: another TACCIA urushi pen; a Sailor Shikiori ‘Drizzle’ in the Sound of Rain series; and a ‘stealth’-look Sailor Lecoule in plain black, with black trim and nib.

It's not the mail I'm waiting for.  It's my Conway Stewart pen-lust level exceeding an inhibiting level of discretion.

Since I need to send my pens to a friend who then resends them to me, it can take a little while, in this case the last six arrived together after six months of waiting... Quite a shock.

All of these were pens I'd given up on given the max budget I set myself. All work well, still nursing that Geha 725 but since it's my second I know it takes a while for them to come back to life.

What's the silver colored Parker next to the red Pelikan? Is that a 75?  I have a sterling Ciselé, but the pattern on yours looks more like a plaid design.
