EZ-A Dip Pens

Recommended Posts

I began making my own dip pens about 15 years ago.

Prior to making EZ-A pens a vast amount of lettering I produced was made with a Wacom tablet using Illustrator or Photoshop apps.  At this phase of life I opt for the feel of metal, ink and paper fiber instead of whet happens digitally with a stylus on a Wacom tablet surface. More humanity and flaws and definitely no command Z  when playing with ink on paper.

A test scribble of a sharp narrow tip I have been at work on for many years. Freehand with no guidelines The tip feels as sharp as a traditional nib with tines with the difference being it holds more ink. As with any sharp metal tip, light hand pressure works best. This tip is design is specifically for thin stroke line with minimal swell.

Hello, very nice to see that you made your dip pens yourself. Do you might sharing this process? I am interested. I as well worked digitally for a while, but was craving pen and ink too.
