Different shape, but the same basic look and shut-off valve.

You do realize that this design is over 80 years old at this point?

I wonder if the Majohn C4 can take one of the 1.1 Stub nib units made for the P136?

(Not about to find out, though, never mind that I just spotted a seller offering the C4 at a good price. I already have an eyedropper-filled, Stub-nibbed Opus 88 Demonstrator pen that I rarely ever use; the girth of that pen does not endear it to me.)

I endeavour to be frank and truthful in what I write, show or otherwise present, when I relate my first-hand experiences that are not independently verifiable; and link to third-party content where I can, when I make a claim or refute a statement of fact in a thread. If there is something you can verify for yourself, I entreat you to do so, and judge for yourself what is right, correct, and valid. I may be wrong, and my position or say-so is no more authoritative and carries no more weight than anyone else's here.

Thank you very much.  It worked!  The pen now has a FPR Architect nib.

Can I please ask which nib you fit into your C4? Would the FPR Ultra Flex nib unit from the Himalaya V2 or Jaipur V2 work in the C4?

Lascosas commented….And the clip looks every bit as stupid in person as in the photos.  And while you can see the threads where the clip is attached, the clip is sealed under plastic.  No removing it.

The clip is not sealed under plastic, just remove the “inner cap” screw and the clip will come out easily. By the way, the inner cap is the one sealed!
When I replaced the nib for a better one I had to drill this cap screw in order to increase it’s diameter in order to avoid the point of the new nib hitting it every time I capped the pen. Now it’s a keeper!

How many turns to uncap/recap for this pen?
It may be the cost-efficient replacement to my Opus-88 Demo.
🤔

I measure 2 1/4 turns to uncap on mine.

Awesome, that's better than my 3.50 turn Opus-88 Demo...lol.
