Show us what your finest nibs can do!

I’m still developing my skills.

For a drawing like the tiger which requires laying down fine lines with accuracy, this is, at least for me, a task which requires a slow deliberate approach; the feedback, or “drag” from a extra fine nib does help me place lines with more precision, and I still miss place some lines.

I know there are other pen artists who work more quickly.

Maybe, as my skills improve, I will be able to create ink drawings in a more rapid and loose style, if that were so, I would definitely want a pen with a generous flow and smooth feel as it moves across the paper.

Here's trying to take it to the next level:

I ground a random baoer pen I had into a super fine needlepoint that can write the full word "needlepoint" on a grain of rice. It feels like writing with an actual needle but the tines are aligned. I don't usually do needlepoints because I end up grinding off the tipping most of the time, but when I do, I try and make them as fine as possible

I have yet to produce a drawing with my new Pilot Falcon SEF nib as mentioned above in the thread, meanwhile, here’s a drawing I recently finished with one of my Pilot Desk Pens.

Ink: Noodler’s Black (enhanced as always with a couple of drops of vegetable glycerin); this enhanced ink dries a bit slower than normal and you can see the smudge on the right ear when I forgot about that and brushed  my hand against the ink.

Paper: Strathmore 50 lb. sketchbook

Beautiful work, and I love tigers.

My latest ebook.   And not just for Halloween!

My other pen is a Montblanc.

Wow! That is a real feat! And not just the grinding, the writing as well.

Thank you very much Sailor.

I still haven’t completed a drawing with my new Pilot Falcon EF. I am trying to see some significant improvement in my pencil skills before I attempt a new pen and ink drawing.

@LordCactus

Amazing  work.  I like your idea and cold imagine what a talent. One - how to grind a nib Two- How to manage  to write with such a point.

I know there are some technical drawing pens and the minimum size of the tip is -. 02 I guess. It is also tiny but you can't use it to write in a rice grain.

Thank you for your share!!
