Any information on this vintage Pilot Custom?

What is the date code? If you believe that the nib and section are original to the barrel and cap, that will give you (and everybody else, if you post it) a data point. I think for the date range, you'd need copies of several years of catalogues.

The model is not a Custom. It uses the same section with different design cap and barrel. Sorry to forget the model name. As I recall there were three patterns. I believe there was a diamond pattern and simulated bamboo. Supposedly the pen is silver plate with lacquered protective coating. 

 

It's a keeper. Hard to find. Looks spectacular in bright light.
