Are you sure that is a HongDian N6 and not a HongDian N7?

 

N6 is the torpedo-shaped model with the Chinese hanzi radicals boldly inscribed on the cap. N7 is the flat-ended model with the Month Rabbit and Peacock variants.

@OCArt What amazes me is the amount of pens out there in mainland China that we do not have access to. There are so many interesting pens and inks over there we cannot access at the moment.

Well, at least this one is now available on AliExpress, through the official HongDian store there.

 

I didn't realise the N8 is effectively the cartridge/converter-filled version of the N7.

Well the important thing is the new nib , it's now spotting a 35mm length nib and slightly altered profile of both barrel and section

Not according to the official HongDian store's item listing on AliExpress.

 

Also not according to the customer comments against the product listing on Taobao.

well if its the early batches, then its still the older 32mm nib , they switch to the new nib just very shortly ago and they post on their store that those who had bought the initial batches and having the 32 nib can claim a new nib unit free with the 35mm nib
