Vinta Gold Dust Shimmer--Piloncitos 1521

I bought a sample of this to contrast with Leyte. 

 

 

This ink is shading under a heavy coat of shimmer.

 

While I like this ink, I don't love it and do not think I would use it much. Especially since I find that Vinta's shimmer tends to flake off pretty easily

 

I first wondered if it was Leyte with shimmer. This is not the case. When you look at the ink without shimmer, it is an interesting shading green that I quite like.

 

 

I considered getting it and ignoring the shimmer, but it would still be low on my priority list at this time when I plan to get Leyte.

Thanks for showing this Vinta ink to us. 

 

I have a sample of this and I really like this soft color but I'm not sure I like it enough that I'd buy a bottle. I'm not sure why I don't like it more because these softer, less saturated colors are my thing - maybe it lacks some complexity (?). I don't care for the shimmer - I just let it settle to the bottom of the vial.

 

I was just thinking about what ink to fill a pen with and I think I'll let Piloncitos try to redeem itself.

Thanks for the review, @dragondazd!   This is a little too blue for me - the comparison image really helps.  Now off for some kelp!
