Refill Help: Faber Castell Ambition Rollerball

Good Morning, newbie here and I have a Faber Castell Ambition pen that I am using a Roller 904 refill. I do not like the way the ink writes (didn't like with the original cartridge either). My issue with this ink is that it is not smooth, and sort of "skips" when writing.

 

Anyone able to recommend other brands of refills that will fit this pen, and if so, any recommendations on smoother blue ink refills? I prefer a bolder and wetter ink.

Recommend? No. Inform? Yes.

 

Monteverde rollerball refills models G22, G24, W22, and W24 fit Faber-Castell rollerball pens. Presumably, similarly shaped rollerball refills bearing any of the other brands listed by Monteverde in those refills' product description as being compatible will therefore also fit Faber-Castell.

Whether you like how a refill writes is, ultimately, subjective. You'll just have to acquire and experiment with as many different ones as you need, to find one you feel is good enough, and toss out the rest. Or you could keep searching, after finding one that's acceptable/usable to tide you over, hoping to find something even better.

You might try one of the many gel refills in the Pilot G2 package: many rollerball pens that use the standard Euro-type refills will also accept them, and they are smoother than liquid-ink rollerballs.

Pilot G2 refill is a nice choice as mentioned before. If you want liquid refill Pelikan's 338 B (made by OHTO), OHTO's own C310 refill (darker than Pelikan) or Schmidt's 5888B (or 888B) are all great writers. You can find medium or fine models as well. Congratulations on your new rollerball.
