Practicing Penmanship with a Shared Poem (PPSP): Snowball by Shel Silverstein

In the spirit of encouraging us all to write more and practice our penmanship, I am suggesting we try copying some poems.  I started with Snowball by Shel Silverstein. I'll post my copy and then mail it to some unsuspecting pen pal.  Hopefully my penpal will write back with the same poem, or a different poem, or even better, add doodles.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

Thank you. I'm going to Poland tomorrow, so won't have a fixed address for a couple of weeks. I'll be glad to participate once back home (if work hasn't accumulated disproportionately). Back to packing now.

But first - I took a minute to write two copies with a flex nib Mabbie&Todd Blackbird pen, one on Rhodia white paper (left) and the other on Moleskine cream paper (right), both on 14x9cm pocket notebooks. I have to say two things, I wrote first the Rhodia copy and it shows as the pen started dry, then increased flow with the heat of the hand and finally settled, and second, the Moleskine paper was a nice surprise as it behaved very well. None of them feathered or had bleed- or see-through.

If you do not mind my participating online without paper-written answer, here they are.

Note added: if I should have replied by snail-mail and since I'll be off for some time, please, do not hesitate to remove the post (or ask for its removal). I'd rather have it removed than infringe the rules of the game.

If you are to be ephemeral, leave a good scent.

This is not a violation of any rules. I absolutely love it!  I look forward to seeing more.  Your penmanship is stunning.

@HalloweenHJB You are not butting in, that is the whole purpose is to practice. The Boysenberry looks great on the Cosmo Air.
