It looks like it’s true AT Cross are selling the Sheaffer brand

Important news: A letter regarding the sale of Sheaffer from A.T Cross to William Penn. Picture for attention:

From the desk of Joe Nerney General Manager - Americas

Dear A.T. Cross customer,
We have completed the sale of the Sheaffer Brand to William Penn, a veteran in marketing pen and paper for the last 20 years based in India.  William Penn has been one of our largest Sheaffer distributors since we bought the Brand in 2014.

Given their extensive history in the fine writing sector, we feel honored and confident to have William Penn taking over Sheaffer.

We will work very closely with William Penn to transition the business, assisting in account introductions, account set up, and other activities to drive a smooth hand over.

Over the coming weeks, William Penn will be communicating with our Senior Sales Team so we can align on strategy and properly assist in this transition.
We thank you for your continued support

Sincerely,
Joe Nerney
General Manager - Americas

Thanks for sharing this information, @Mark from Yorkshire!  I wonder if this bodes well or badly for Sheaffer.  IMO, Sheaffer for a long time has been the poor stepchild of the pen business, with few innovative products.

I don't think it's possible to bode worse.  Current condition = extinct
