It's incredible!

I'm glad you like it. It's been one of my favourites for the last few years. I like Visconti Blue a lot as well, but Horizon Blue behaves better and is just about perfect in any pen I try it in.

I got a sample of Baltimore Canyon Blue today. Quite vibrant. Not quite as much as Horizon Blue, but close. And waaaaay more water resistant. More expensive too tho.

I can't believe this hasn't been said but Monteverde Sapphire is crazy saturated. Its a great color. I could do without the sheen I sometimes get when I have it stored for few days on the first word or two but its amazing.

In the other blue spectrums - J Herbin is my favorite in that spectrum so far. DeA Sky Blue is nice is that spectrum.

I see Horizon Blue won but I wanted to add a note on another ink anyway.

Last night I tried FPR "Royal Flush Blue" and I loved it. It's very saturated with nice shading. With an EF nib it is also pretty well behaved on nasty cheap copy paper though of course you don't get the shading.

I liked Monteverde Horizon Blue a lot too. It has much more subtle shading and is darker and less saturated.

I'd use Horizon Blue anywhere, it looks business like enough. Royal Flush Blue might be too wild for some contexts but it's currently my favorite blue.

Personally, I am a big fan of BSB, but I reckon its properties are not for the faint of heart.

Being also a big fan of permanent inks, MB Permanent Blue is my next go to blue ink. To my untrained eye (and with my very scarce experience), it is close to BSB, well behaved, ISO registrar permanent and, to top it all, Montblanc.

If you are to be ephemeral, leave a good scent.

To add my own 2¢, my 2 favorite blues are MB Permanent Blue (as a perm) and Horizon (as a non-perm but ½-way replica of our all-time Parker blue).

I'm not so much worried about BSB eating up any of my pens, it's just that it is too searing for my eyes.
