Help with info on unusual Cross

Hi, I have a Cross Century pencil that is unusual and I have not been able to find info on it.  Can anyone help?  This pencil is marked Century 600 at the top of the cap above the clip.  Century is in script as on older Century pens.  I have seen hundreds of Century but never one marked Century 600.  But what is really unusual is the size.  The pencil is shorter than the regular century.  Same diameter, but shorter.  It's not some mixed parts as both the body and cap are shorter than on a regular Century.  Can anyone give me any info about this model?  Thanks,  BOB
