Need help to identify these Parker pens

Hello all,

I was rummaging through some bits and bobs and came across these 2 lovely fountain pens.  I would like to draw on your expertise to help me identify them and to possibly put a value on them.

Pen 1

Parker 13.5cm long, lid is hallmarked with "1/10 12ct R.GOLD", hooded nib - fine(?),  arrow clip is tight, lid has some dents in it, filler is hallmarked with "PARKER 51" , "TO FILL PRESS RIBBED BAR FIRMLY 4 TIMES HOLDING PEN POINT DOWN, WIPE POINT WITH SOFT TISSUE".  I would rate the overall condition as fair as there are dents, and the gold is worn is spots at the base of the lid.

Pen 2

Parker 13.5cm long, lid is hallmarked with "1/10 12K G.F. Made is U.S.A.", hooded nib - fine(?), arrow clip is loose - moves side to side 2/3mm, the tip of the lid and barrel has pointed pearl like rondel.  The filling mechanism is a mystery.  There is no converter, just a 4.5cm long smooth, solid, charcoal grey plastic tube with a tiny cage like protrusion on the end with red underneath.  I can't remove it at all. Suggestions gladly welcomed!

The pen shows very little signs of use except for the loose arrow clip.

If you need more photos and/or specific details just let me know.

Over to you guys brains trust.  Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and opinions.

Maisie.

First is just as it says-a Parker 51. This is perhaps one of the best known products of the company, and was a revolutionary design. This one is an aeromatic filler, which is nearly indestructible.

The second is a 61, a somewhat polarizing pen. It was sort of a 51 successor. The filler is called a capillary filler, a sometimes troublesome filler that Parker developed in their quest to make filling simple and clean. When properly working, the black filler is immersed in ink. Parker said 30 seconds, but really it’s a couple of minutes in my experience at least in a clean and dry pen. The outside is Teflon coated, so a quick wipe on a paper towel will clean it up.

I will often spend a week or two cleaning a new to me 61-not exaggerating. I leave the filler immersed in water, changing it periodically until no more ink seeps out. Once clean, they work reliably, but I tend to only use east to clean inks like Quink washable blue.

Pen 1: Parker 51 Aerometric.

It should work well after just a good flushing (unless some "special" inks were used).

Pen 2: Parker 61 with a capillary filler.

At a glance, your pen seems to be in rather good condition as an inlaid arrow on the section is present and looks intact.

I agree with Bunnspecial above that it should take both time and patience to bring it back to working condition though it is worth to do as P16 is a brilliant writer.

There are a few useful threads in Parker section of FPN on how to clean P61s with capillary filler.

All the best is only beginning now...

Why can't this happen to me???

Jealousy aside, you have a couple of great finds, as bunnspecial and TheRedBeard have said.  My Aero 51 and 61 are two of my favorite pens, with the 61 just ahead of its more famous brother.  I paid US$80 or so for a 51 pen/pencil set a couple of years ago, and about the same for a NOS 61, so I would say $100 would be reasonable for the two together.  However, the market has been nuts since (there's a whole forum dedicated to 51 price insanity), so I could be wildly off.
