I finally got one ...... Lapis Lazuli

For many years and years and years, I've admired the blue color & gold flecks of Lapis Lazuli.  But the prices were always way more than I could afford.

Well, I finally got lucky last week and found one at a price I could afford:  a Townsend, medium nib.  After a bit of cleaning, I polished the nib end on a piece of 2,000-grit sandpaper, loaded in a converter, and got to writing on a piece of Clairefontaine (my favorite paper).  Nice writing, very smooth, good ink flow, an occasional teeny tiny bit of "scratchy" sound while writing.  I'm very pleased and happy !!

Beautiful! I’ve long admired that pen, but like you haven’t found a reasonable priced one.

Congratulations.Lapis Lazuli is a stone that has been search for  more than 4000 years. Cross did an excellent job with this special edition.
