My Jinhao 82s came in. One is the fine nib the other fude. I’m having difficulty with the fude only wanting to write with the nib reversed. I have some work to do with it

Today's journal pen was a Wing Sung 601A with a conical nib and Diamine Salamander. The nib is beautifully fine and not a hint of scratchy.

I was just browsing through, and suddenly this nib caught my eye.  It looks like the SchonDsgn's Monac nib (or rather, Monac nib loos a bit like this nib?).  At least the visible part of it.  I wonder how this 601A's conical nib looks like when it is removed from the pen?

Just got a Hongdian Black Forest with a fude nib. I really like these pens... We have 3 with different finishes and nib styles now.

One of my daily drivers is a Jinhao 159 that I received as a Pay It Forward from @Sailor Kenshin. It's also pretty great.

For the last few days I've been using a Majohn/Moonman M800 (the orange one) but with a Jowo/Anderson pens 1.1 stub...amazing...my first stub!!

This pen was unusable with the Moonman nib...never experienced something as bad as that nib (only into fountain pens for a year now). I swapped in a medium and it was..ok..not great but ok. Totally transformed with the stub nib though!!!

Orange Jinhao X159 inked with Pilot Iroshizuku Shin-Ryoku (Dark Green) ink. Nifty little writer so far!

Jinhao X159 "Hemingway"! I am really enjoying tinkering with these.20230210_113726.thumb.jpg.e54a9be8be5082b7cb36a74f71a033e4.jpg

looking good.  how did you take off / swap the end finial? just try to unscrew with force?

Maybe you can try swapping the cap finial too, maybe'll look even better.

@AceNinjait just twists off with some force. though I will say "do at your own risk" because its probably possible to break it. The cap finial also unscrews but it has a slotted nut inside that holds it all together and is difficult to screw back in once it is undone.

@shane27 My black and orange X159 pens arrived yesterday and I made your swap. I'm super pleased with the very attractive pen that resulted. Thank you for the inspiration!

There is a X159 Heminway with orange cap and a reverse one with black barrel an orange cap. Maybe there are other nice mixtures: white barrel and black cap, or yellow and green ,etc..
