Hello.

 I came across this thread(above).

There are questions about the length of the Parker 180FP when the cap is posted.

I also have two unusually short 180FPs with the caps posted, both of which are from junk lots purchased for parts supply purposes. And it was interpreted as a broken individual with the cap inner clutch lost.

The page of the link shown to give the answer to this thread(above) is currently disabled.

Does anyone know the answer to the question?

Thank you in advance for providing the information.

 @shalitha33 Thanks for the link.

The "180 FP prototype slight flare of the barrel-end tassie Écorce finish" type 180 FP is commercially available as at least a 180 flighter model.

I found a lot of things. (Did I just not know that?)

After some time, I'll give you a brief report here.

The barrels without the flare on the barrel-end tassie are from a Parker Classic, not a P180.
This shortening of the pen always occurs when a P180 cap is posted to a Parker Classic barrel, as the parallel “Classic” barrel tassie misses the inner cap catch and bottoms out a lot further down.

There is no shortening of these barrels with another 180 cap.

 Why?

I uploaded an image of that condition to the gallery yesterday before you pointed out.

For the time being, I will attach an image of the short post type and regular post type pen with the caps swapped.

This image was uploaded to the gallery more than half a day before it was pointed out that it was a mistake with the classic barrel. You can check the upload date and time by browsing the gallery.

If it's a mistake with the classic barrel, it should be posted as short as well.

If you post a short post type cap on a regular post type barrel, it will be posted by friction.

In the opposite case, it will not be accepted at all, and if it becomes wobbly and tilted, the cap will slip off.

*The position of the barrel is the same as the above image.

 The caps have been replaced.

For regular post type individuals, different individuals are used.
