I wasn't familiar with this model, so I did a quick Google search.  And now want the pink and black one (and sort of want the yellow and black one as well, but can't justify the price on that one at ALL :crybaby:).

FPN is SUCH a dangerous site....  (My wallet -- my poor, poor wallet.... :wallbash:)

For 3 euros it is a nice pen. I have all colours now. But then I can get them for 3 euros each.

You got a TOLEDO for 3 euros????   ONLY 3 euros????  :wallbash:

You're like the guy who posted a few years ago in the Parker thread, going, "So, I saw this listing on eBay for a Parker 51 that was listed as being black, but I think it's actually Plum.  Getting it for $40 US -- what do people think?"  And I said, "I think I hate you...."  I had seen that listing but ignored it because I was focussed on the auction for a Plum Demi the same weekend -- and because I didn't need another black 51.  And then the joke was on me because the day after I'd won the first auction, I got notification of another auction (an English production black 51 Vac, for which I'd bid the minimum -- just to get the ball rolling.  And so got that for super cheap (it had the cap for a US made 51 Special on it, but I was able to trade for a more correct cap at a pen show).  But I paid nearly double what the guy who said, "What do people think?"

I was telling the story to someone the year I went to the Chicago Pen Show, and he overheard me and came over and introduced himself and we had a good laugh.  But MAN O MAN!  I didn't look past the headline on that listing....  And figured I'd get outbid on the other one since I only bid the minimum....

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Just picked up a Pilot retractable pen on Amazon for about $75. Seems to be a good pen, amazed at how small the nib is. Like the way it writes and it is cool to have a retractable fountain pen. Drawback is I can't stick it in my pants pocket.

I am finally getting a Kaweco x Moleskine fountain pen. Blue with a fine nib. Really it's just a Perkeo with a gold plated nib. I'm hoping the gold printed 'Moleskine' will polish away...

And Midnight Blue cartridges to go in it.

Why now? Cos 20% off.

Will work for pens...

When one lets others set one's fashion, instead of doing it one's self; one don't have any shirt pockets. The rant against fashion leaders deleted in truth hurts.

Shirt pockets, invented in 1895, right after the read while you work; bicycle peddle washing machine, that led to sewn on shirt collars, cuffs, full buttoned shirts (Not the pull on three button in the chest yoke shirts), changing one's underwear daily, not weekly, AND....a shirt pocket for one's fountain pen.

You did have to buy your very own slide on fountain pen clip.

Once you have brought a useful shirt :P with a shirt pocket....do make sure it is deep....some folks make a short pocket shirt (only vintage medium-small pens can fit them...don't know if there is any BP's that short.)  for some odd $$$ saving reason.... if you know someone with a sewing machine or have a tailor, you, can have that fountain pen pocket, sewn into the pocket partition's to hold securely just one, or two pens in their pen pockets.

Kaweco Sport is good for folks who have hangups against shirt pockets....they were made to stored in pants front pockets.

Congratulations!

For accomplishing a 10 year goal, a Montblanc is well-deserved reward.  And, for future goals, I'll note that there are always more Montblancs out there. 🙂

So which MB did you get? I've gotten a number of MB's to celebrate events.

@mulrich congratulations on reaching that long term goal. Can you share a photo of the pen, please?

Here's a picture… I've been given MB's to celebrate things before but this is probably the first I've purchased to celebrate something. Fortunately major events in my profession are relatively rare so I have a long time to plan for the next one.

That is a very worthy way to celebrate! Congrats.

I couldn't think of a good way to stage the pen. For some reason by brain saw the top of the clip and I immediately tried to balance the nib there. No harm was done to any involved in the picture.

A Montblanc 146 from 1953 with an OB flex nib and a Pelikan 400 tortoise with OBB semi-flex nib, both from Tom at Penboard, to celebrate two simultaneous personal achievements.

Your new pens must be magnificent, but the nibs are a dream.

Yes, that’s a major part of why I picked them. Vintage obliques in broad widths with 1950s flex?? It’s the dream.
