The Fountain Pen "Bazaar"

The excellent text-based browser game, Fallen London, has an Exceptional Story (it's what they call their premium content) titled "Shades of Yesterday".

It's theme revolves around a fountain pen show, replete with pen sampling stations, ink collections, expensive paper, and fountain pens that steal your memories as you write them down.

The story nails what a modern fountain pen show set in a subterranean Victorian London would look like.

I was ready to think this was spam, and then I read the post. OMG, I would read a steam punk novel on this premise. Thank you for sharing!!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

On our drive home last night, I was telling my family about this.  Have you played it yourself?

I have been a Fallen London player for the last 3 years. With my current schedule, the only gaming I have time for is of the highly interruptible type. It doesn't get more interruptible than text-based rpg. Case in point: I have started this particular story but haven't finished it yet.

I highly recommend it.
