 The only 0.3mm automatic feeding mechanical pencil in Chinese mainland, made by Shanghai Writing Instrument Research Institute(SWIRI) in the 1980s, an institution subordinate to the Shanghai Pen Industry Company.

Although the quality of this pencil is relatively rough, as of now, it is the most technical level of the mechanical pencils made in China.

琅玕翡翠色

 Bamboo-colored jade that just grew in spring.

 Correct?

 

 I think this perfection is wonderful in the 1980s.

 I was using "Platinum Angle" (maybe)at that time.

 It seems that there are traces of use, but was this model commercially available?

Yeah, the surface of this pencil is coated with paint, which is commonly called"彩漆冰花", and there are main colors such as red, yellow, green, blue, pink, purple and so on. 

 

I will show another model that applies this surface treatment process – THREESTAR 703, made by China No.2 Pencil Factory.

By the way, I've only seen one of this model.
