I'm Lick, a 21 year old from the Philippines. I've been interested in fountain pens since I was 11 years old, due to my dad's calligraphy hobby. My dad's gone now (not sure where he went, just abandoned us out of nowhere) but my love for fountain pens and calligraphy has stayed. I've rekindled my passion for fountain pens and am currently starting to grow my collection now that I have a steady job to supplement my hobbies. I prefer broad edge nibs since I do a lot of Old English/Blackletter works in my free time but I am slowly delving deeper into classic fountain pens. The growing Chinese market for fountain pens has also piqued my interest!

 

Hoping to learn more from this community ~

 

P.S. are glass pens allowed? I realized that getting one made my life so much easier when testing out inks!

Hello Lick and welcome :) 

 

That's some very good looking calligraphy there - I wish I had the patience to master blackletter - one of these days! 

 

Like many here, I use glass and dip pens of all sorts both for lettering and ink testing, as well as conventional fountain pens. 

 

Have a wander around the forums, you're sure to find plenty of interest here and I hope you enjoy doing so!
