In case y'all haven't noticed, everyday prices are going up for everything everywhere, and will continue to do so until POP.  Stay tuned.  The reason for the demise of the transparent binde was covered on page 3 of the thread.

OK.  Carry on complainin' and have a nice day! 🤪

P.S.  Prices of MB, Sailor, Pilot etc have also increased.  Must be Pelikan's fault.  Off to find my asbestos undies.

Nah, that would be too easy. It is obviously so much more fun to moan over some pens that used to be translucent but aren't anymore for the reasons stated above, so some folks complain for months and months to no end in various fora, some even in multiple languages.  😕

Would you care to address my specific questions about whether the rate of price-rise of Pelikan’s non-Souverän products matches the rate at which it is raising the prices of its Souverän fountain pens?

And whether or not the quality of those other products has also been reduced?

Or do you just want to sling mud at people who are unhappy about being expected to pay more in exchange for receiving less?

But not as much fun as charging customers more money in exchange for ‘less product’, eh?

Especially if you can also cut the number of staff who actually produce the product, and pay those who remain (and are now required to do more work) less than they received before.

I mean, that’s just great larks!

I might add that some people derive their ‘fun’ from repeatedly pointing out how ‘great’ and ‘clever’ the above-detailed wheeze is - perhaps the rest of us plebs should be rushing to genuflect before this ‘generous offer’, and be feeling profoundly grateful for the ‘fantastic opportunity’ that we are being offered to be able to pay more in exchange for receiving less? 🤷‍♂️

When I go to the Co-Op to buy Digestives the package is shorter, the biscuits are smaller and the price is 40% higher that it was a year ago. That's the way it is.

I don’t claim that it would - but lauding the actions of those who cut quality (in the name of cutting production-costs) and hike prices too certainly won’t help matters.

Not sure why this is difficult for you to comprehend? I wish businesses have a crystal ball like you have to predict with certainty their demand. So, basically you're claiming companies like Amazon are also stupid for not accurately predicting the total number of layoffs they should have done in the first place but have continued to layoff people as market conditions have changed?

Secondly, the most likely reason for the reduction in material quality is probably because it would mean they have to raise prices less. But I'm sure you'll find a reason to complain about that as well?

Again, rather that complain here, my original post stands. Go start a change.org petition and see how many people agrees with you.
