I endeavour to be frank and truthful in what I write, show or otherwise present, when I relate my first-hand experiences that are not independently verifiable; and link to third-party content where I can, when I make a claim or refute a statement of fact in a thread. If there is something you can verify for yourself, I entreat you to do so, and judge for yourself what is right, correct, and valid. I may be wrong, and my position or say-so is no more authoritative and carries no more weight than anyone else's here.

Love it! This is the best salmon-y shade I've come across. I've been using it in a TWSBI Swipe Salmon and it works really well.

Thank you @A Smug Dill - great review as always :)

Thanks for the review, @A Smug Dill! :)  I think the best thing about this ink is the name.  But I always enjoy your reviews, regardless of the color - everything you need to know in a simple format and a few images.

Thanks everyone.

That's good to hear, because I want to focus on only what I want to tell someone about an ink; and if you find all you need to know in my ink reviews, then we're like-minded regarding what constitutes essential, useful information. :D

I usually wouldn't bother with using two different fountain pens to test and review an ink, especially if one of them is a wide Italic/Stub or only writes broadly; but I actually started doing this review sheet because I wanted to test the two pens, more than I do the ink itself. I was trying to decide whether to buy another Diplomat Aero, at a good clearance price and with a gold EF nib, but in a pen body colour I find ‘meh’, and seriously needed to reconfirm how comfortable the pen is to use. (I've decided against it.) The Opus 88 Shell pen is new and only arrived this week, and I wanted to see whether the pen and Stub nib works — it does, but I don't really like how it writes — and whether to swap a different nib unit into the pen.

I liked the juxtaposition with Rhodia Orange Cover

The colour of this ink seems to defy scanning, and is difficult to present in a photo in spite of the including of the reference greyscale squares. It actually looks quite similar to the Rhodia DotPad's cover in colour when coming out of a drier pen, and the Rhodia orange colour is iconic, so I thought it would be a good point of reference in this instance.

You may recall that I was looking for an ink named after salmon. :) I like this colour, and in fact would probably have ordered more, if I decided to proceed with buying that second Aero; but the long drying time just kills it. Writing on a different sheet with the EF-nibbed burnt orange Aero I have, some dots atop the minuscules ‘i’ and ’j’ takes up to 75 seconds to dry to the point of not smudging. I could still see some glistening, in the way the surface of a spot of liquid reflects light, from those spots under a bright light even after 65 seconds.

:D Your fluke is our good fortune!

I hate it when that happens!  It makes me want to send a letter (written with the unscanable (unscannable?) ink) to the manufacturer and tell them to fix their cursèd machine / software!  (But I think we all know it wouldn't do any good.)

No, not yet. Thanks; maybe later. :)

Great review!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).
